Just visited the fox inn for the first time.....my brother suggested this pub as he said the Sunday roasts there are amazing...and he was right!! Plenty of choice and lovely seasonal veg....and most importantly lovely gravy!! The owner Mass even came out to make sure we were enjoying our meals! We will certainly visit there again....

Went to The Fox for Sunday lunch with the family. All I can say is excellent. Plenty of choice, lots of veg and hot!!!!! We did have to wait a little while for our order but we had been advised that a number of cyclist had arrived and they were behind with the orders. As far as im concerned that... More

I have just had for the second week in a row, the best Sunday roast you will find in a pub. We went for mothering sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it so when my cooker went kaput this week I decided we would treat ourselves again. There is so much food its a struggle for me to eat it all but... More

I booked this meal as a Mother's Day treat and we weren't disappointed ! The staff were lovely especially Nina who couldn't do enough for us , the service was excellent and very prompt. When the meal came ; Sunday roasts all of which were very very generous portions ; we tucked in! No room for dessert all of which... More

Found by chance, spent the weekend at the caravan camp site on the outskirts of the village, had an evening stroll round the village and popped into the Fox Inn for a drink, ended up having an evening meal. We all had steak, perfectly cooked, our young kids were welcomed and they were happy to do a kids size portion... More

Like many people we love walking in the area & just popped in for quick drink and too warm up. Through our extended visit the place flowed with locals coming in for a quick pint. The atmosphere was warm & jovial. There were couples & families enjoying good quality food intermingling with each other's children & dogs! I noticed the... More

After all the amazing reviews here I booked this for a family Sunday lunch. Cannot describe how disappointing it was. Service was appalling, with us waiting for over an hour for our food without anyone apologising or telling us what was going on. We just kept being told 'its coming'. Everyone else in the restaurant was in the same position... More

We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The main course was lovely, I had lasagne with side salad and my friend had the battered cod and chips. Very good. The problem came with the dessert. We both ordered sticky toffee pudding but were served the chocolate sponge. We ate it (I'd considered ordering it) but it proved to be too... More

Having seen an advertisement in a magazine, my husband and myself thought that we would have lunch there today as a Birthday treat for myself. There was a nice selection on the menu. I had a nice chicken meal, and my husband had a succulent gammon. The food was presented nicely, and the portions were generous. Also it was good... More

I took my aged mother here for a meal; she had ham egg and chips and I had gammon egg and chips which came with a salad [home made chips which were superb and the gammon was succulent and tender]. There were many other adventurous items on the menu so our choices were rather conservative! There are also 'bar-food' items... More
