Food was excellent. Service was slow. Go for a relaxing dinner with a couple of drinks. Highly recommend the clam chowder. It was the best ever.

Ironic that a framed review from the year 2000 graces the hallway outside of the Broad Arrow Tavern. Talk about resting on past laurels. My husband and I had lunch there today (Fourth of July) and a simple fried fish sandwich and fish/chips entree (the most basic of Maine preparations) were of average quality with above average prices. My top... More

We stopped in for a nightcap after dinner - great atmosphere and service with an interesting history. We enjoyed ourselves there immensely.

We liked the fact that the Broad Arrow Tavern uses local, fresh ingredients whenever possible. However, for a dining experience that's going to run you $25-$35 per entree and charge [a la carte "as a demi"] for a side salad the Broad Arrow Tavern should make sure the quality of the entree is worth the value. I ordered the Slow... More

It's more than just tavern food here. It is really great food, served by the friendliest servers around. We stayed at the Inn, where the Tavern is located, and we could have eaten anywhere in Freeport. More often than not, we chose Broad Arrow. There is a large variety on the menu, and all that we had was yummy. It's... More

With great food, cozy fireside nooks and plenty of ambience, this is like a really good English pub, but with better food! A definite must do in Freeport.

All the food was excellent, as was the service. Good atmosphere. What we liked best was the outdoor patio area - great for relaxing and people-watching.

We eat here at least once a month. The servers are always great and food is consistently delicious. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone! We always save room for dessert - delicious fresh berry pies, crisp and the four layer cake are among our favorites. They have a great outdoor patio and fire pit too.

Local sources for food and always the best. The chowder is some of the best. Lobster tool is a must especially since what else would you want from Maine.

It is a cozy room overlooking the street and side of the Inn. The prices were reasonable, the food delicous and the service friendly and attentive. Try the half roast chickewn; we had it twice!
