Hearty Dinner

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner at the Mediterranean Grill. He had the red lentil soup as an appetizer and really enjoyed it. I had the white bean salad. I absolutely loved it and tried to get some hints as to what was in the dressing, but it seems to be a trade secret. For our main... read more

Over the years I have eaten numerous times at the Mediterranean Grill, shared appetizers (love their Cucumber Bloody Mary) while lounging on the comfortable outdoor deck, had intimate delicious dinners, and last year watched a number of world cup soccer games with an enthusiastic staff and visitors in the bar. This year we booked the dining room for a birthday... More

I had the Babaganush as an appetizer, the little pita bread was tasty however greasy. My main meal tho was pretty very small, three little kebabs with veggies on stick (half of them- onions) and just a sprinkle of rice. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Not recommended for very hungry people!!

We were disappointed in the food because although my moussaka was nicely spiced it was greasy. My husbands ordered chicken kebab, which was good, but the rice was bland and served with a large, hard lump - his salad was half onions. This was our 2nd visit but we will not return.

The Mediterranean Grill is a wonderful restaurant. The cook was trained in one of the most prestigious schools and serves mouth-watering food. There are so many delicious dishes that I can't list them all. The value is great and the service is always superb. In the warm months, sit on the deck and watch the Freeport shoppers strolling by. Menu is limited, food is only ok, space is poor. It just doesn't make me want to go back. Best time for a visit is in summer when you can sit on the elevated deck.

Stopped in here while shopping in Freeport. The staff (Manager/Owner) were really helpful and friendly. They let us in the restaurant 20 minutes before they opened as it was cold outside and one of the ladies in our group had a walking cane. Cannot fault the staff. The food was ok, not very flavorful. I've had excellent Turkish food and... More

This was without a doubt the most delicious & freshest Turkish/Greek/Mediterranean meal we've ever had, and that includes super fancy places like Periyali in NYC. Everything is prepared fresh and homemade. The yogurt in the Cacik is even homemade. The lambchops are sourced locally, and are beautifully hand trimmed. The Doner/Gyro was absolutely fantastic. I can't say enough about how... More

Delicious Greek/Turkish food, great service, pleasant atmosphere. Baba ghanoush and baklava were especially tasty! Friendly, professional staff, good wine list, reasonable prices. Will go back soon!

We stopped in for lunch on our way home, as this had been one of our favorite go-to restaurants in Freeport. Our lunch entrees were both underwhelming with flavor; not up to par with memories of past meals there. Turkish cuisine may be too adventurous for some, but we always found it to be quite tasty. Not so this time:... More
