Excellent Lobster Roll

The restaurant is set up in a former house. It has a homey atmosphere. I visit Freeport once a year and always have lunch here. The restaurant is within walking distance of LL Bean. The food is fresh and cooked on site. I had the clam chowder and the Lobster roll. The Lobster roll is jammed packed... read more

We stopped here after being given a brochure as we were leaving LL Bean. My husband enjoyed an incredible bowl of lobster stew...pricey but enough lobster to make it well worth it. I had the Mediterranean fish stew and it was wonderful. We've been there several times on our way from Portland and are never disappointed.

Stopped in for an early dinner on New Year's Eve and the waiter was most accommodating to our needs. We had tried another restaurant on the main drag that though was empty could not seat us for some reason - evidently they were booked up but I think they saw our little ones and decided not to serve us. This... More

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years now and have never had a bad meal. The food is always delicious, and the staff is always so friendly! We look forward to returning every time we visit Freeport.

My husband and I recently ate at the Corsican Restaurant while on a three day holiday in the Freeport area. Both our meals were superb. The lobster stew as a first course was fabulous and worth a splurge. It was Ioaded with lobster meat! Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free. Our brownie dessert was delicious. We... Down the hill from LLBean, this is a place we would certainly patronize again. Two floors (steep stairs going up to the bathrooms and second dining room). We enjoyed soups (decent clam chowder, not the best) and chicken wraps and really tasty gingerbread for dessert. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly and they have a good local beer list (mostly... More

We have now dined at The Corsican twice and have found it to be an extraordinary restaurant. Not only is the food spectacular, and the ambiance most enjoyable, but the staff are delightfully friendly and knowledgeable. While I don't like to use metaphors, this restaurant is "a home run"!

This is a nice local restaurant to eat at between shopping in Freeport. We had a lovely, quiet lunch, away from the crowds, but just across the street from all the shops. Less than a block from the main Bean store, we enjoyed a pizza, salad and beer. The salad was supposedly just a side salad, but it was huge... More
