Some of the best chowder ever!

We stopped there for lunch while shopping in Freeport. We both had the soup and sandwich lunch combo. I had the clam chowder and lobster roll and my spouse had the haddock and clam chowder and a haddock sandwich. The chowders were thick, creamy and full of clams and fish. It was delicious and... read more

Our tour bus arrived for lunch at this converted and quaint house. What a treat! It's something you don't find in every town. The chowder was the best and the lobster roll was delish. In fact we asked the chefs to come out into the dining room and we all clapped.

Quaint place with great food. Lobster Roll was best I have ever tasted. Our server Tom was great. Was one of the highlights on our trip up the Maine coast. Great way to end a day of shopping!

Clam chowder was great. However, the crab melt was awful and absolutely no taste. Just tasted like warm mush. My husband got the lobster roll and it was a little better. Wish I would have picked another dish to go with the chowder or just went to another restaurant. A bit overpriced for what it is. $90 lunch for four....be... More

We went to the Corsican on the recommendation of our B&B host. What a great recommendation! The dinner was at the end of a trip where many lobster rolls and chowders had been tried. WOW! The haddock and clam chowder is the best that we had. The lobster roll was on fresh bread and had lots of lobster. Blueberry crumb... More

We needed a place to go after a quick stop by the L.L. Bean store in Freeport, so I chose this based on reviews and its proximity to the shops. The server/host greeted us very kindly and continued to offer very good service throughout our meal. Among the 5 of use, we ordered a variety of things from a pizza... More

A small place but definitely a must stop. Their lobster role and clam chowder were both excellent and fresh blueberry pie was a real hit. A friend had the warm gingerbread which I tasted and it was also very good. Charming setting, and delightful owner and staff make you feel right at home!

The waiter was attentive , the atmosphere is friendly and quaint . The food was very good. I ordered the lobster stew , I'd give it a 7 out of 10. Large amounts of lobster and very creamy . However the flavor was a bit bland and I would have liked to seen a bit of potato to round out... More

My wife and I had lunch at the Corsican. It is a converted Victorian house and the atmosphere gives off that "at home" feel. Our server, Elijah was great, and the rest of the staff made you feel welcome as well. The food was nothing short of awesome. The lobster roll I had was by far the best I've ever... More
