Nice spot for lunch, worth finding

At one of the main intersections someone was handing out menus for this restaurant. Enjoyed my lobster roll and chowder, and my spouse had chowder and a salad. Bathrooms super clean. A very nice lunch spot after a morning of shopping!

When locals recommend a restaurant, it usually means the food is excellent - and the Corsican is! We ordered salads with lobster, and they were fresh, crisp, imaginatively done, and made a wonderful lunch served with warm, dill rolls. The menu had something for everyone - even children - and was like eating at your mom's house. Friendly wait staff,... More

The Corsican closes for a stretch in January and February. This presented a quandary, as I like to treat myself to a chowder lunch every couple of weeks. This is Freeport, Maine after all, so there are plenty of alternative locations serving chowder. I really enjoy the Corsican fish & clam chowder, and hoped there might be another good bowl... More

Fantastic Blueberry pie, very casual atmosphere. This is a great place e to grab a bite to eat, but not really date night material.

The Corsican was highly recommended by the Kendall Tavern in during a mom's weekend away. They easily accommodated 11 of us, and everything we ordered came out just how we asked for it! Our waitress was great! I had the salmon with the blueberry sauce, and it was delicious! Some of our group had the dessert. The blueberry pie was... More

We recently ate here on a Monday for lunch. The food is always very consistent no matter what time of the year it is. We had the turkey and avocado sandwich with real turkey which my wife loved. I had a tuna melt, which was very good and the special soup of the day which was onion. The onion soup... More

My Mom and I found this pretty much by getting a bit lost in Freeport due to construction detours. We were hungry and trying to get to a place off Main street, but decided to give this restaurant a try. It has become our all time favorite each time we head down to Freeport for a day of shopping. It... More

The Corsican is my "go-to" restaurant in Freeport. There's always an interesting item or a new twist on an old stand-by. Excellent wine selection by the glass or bottle.

Friendly but standard fare in a slightly cramped space. One feels very welcome and relaxed. Reasonably priced.
