We strive to create a warm and friendly cafe that reminds you of home cooking. We prepare all of our food from scratch using fresh ingredients and family recipes. Next time you're in Freeport, stop on by for breakfast, lunch, and of course one of our famous sticky buns! A long time feature of Freeport, Maine, Isabella's Cafe has recently come under new ownership by Caite Maynard. Caite has worked in the food industry for over 40 years; she is renowned for her baking, soup, and her attention to customer service. Isabella's Cafe now focuses on fresh food made by hand, using locally-sourced ingredients and family recipes; breakfast and lunch are available all day, and Caite's passion for baking results in a bakery case filled with delicious items from cookies, muffins, and scones, and the homemade sticky bun bread pudding is not to be missed!

Want C-Buns ---- Go early

The cinnabuns are very good and sell out quickly. Go early -- mine were fresh and just out of the oven. Buy extra they are still very good a couple days later.

I do believe the food is slightly over priced but it is delicious. My husband and I alway have to stop in every time we are in town and we are never disappointed. The owner is lovely and a pleasure to talk to and her baking is amazing.

Welcoming atmosphere with local art on the walls. Fine eggs and potatoes. AND THE BLUEBERRY MUFFIN IS THE AVATAR (in the pre-internet Hindu meaning of the word) OF WHAT A BLUEBERRY MUFFIN CAN AND SHOULD BE. It is loaded with blueberries almost to the point of over-saturation, not too sweet, the body is spongy and springy and the muffin top... More

We got directed to Isabella's Sticky Buns when we asked for a place to have tea. It was around 3-4 pm when we went but they were out of almost everything. We ended up just having tea. The place is slightly confusing to find because there is a sign on Main Street but it is actually around the corner. Nice... More

The sticky buns were amazing. They were a little short staffed the day I was there, so you had to be patient, but the breakfast sandwich I had was good, and again, the sticky bun was amazing.

Get a cinnamon roll to go or a whole breakfast. We ate breakfast and had super tasty breakfast sandwiches and some pastries. The only improvement would be better tasting coffee.

We really got lucky that the first restaurant we stopped at had stopped serving breakfast when we visited Freeport on Friday 6/26. What a delightful place! I'm sorry I forgot the young womans name that waited on us but she was so very kind and helpful! The food was best that we've had in a long time! We got the... More

We went in to grab a quick breakfast. I had an egg sandwich with boursin cheese, and it was tasty! The staff was friendly, but seemed a little overwhelmed. We didn't get a chance to try the sticky buns, but they looked tasty!

Saw the signs for this place from the street and they showed cinnamon buns. Got there and there weren't any. Left without buying anything. Guess you have to get there in the morning to get the good stuff. Bakery case was almost empty at noon on a Saturday.

We decided to meet in Freeport for breakfast on a Sunday morning. When my son suggested this restaurant I was hesitant, I didn't want just donuts for breakfast. Boy am I glad that we went here. It is not much to look at but the service and the food was very good. I got to have quiche and my husband... More
