Stopped in because we love this Grittys the best. The place was full and line long but we were able to get right in by sitting at a smaller table/bar in the side room. Our waitress was really quick on her feet and treated us kindly. Very personable with us and went out of the way to make us feel... read more

Gritty McDuff's has a wide selection of their own ales on tap, ranging from seasonal ales to the traditional stout, bitter, and IPA. You can get a paddle/flight/sampler with any number of brews. Both the beer and the food are good, but nothing I drank (tried the 9 beer on tap that night) or ate (angus burger with blue cheese... More

Stopped by on the way home---Hallelujah, Cask Bitter was on tap---the best draught beer in America. Rueben was great, Onion fries, well OK, chowder excellent. Deck full on a beautiful sunny May afternoon---they must be doing something right

Beer made on premises. You can get sample flights ranging from 2-9 beer. The beer was all average. We had burgers, which were also average. It was very busy and our server forgot to put our order in. She did apologize and brought us over some apps while we waited. Overall, just a very average experience.

Fabulous Fish and Chips. Great bear selection. Long tables where you might be seated with another party. Good service.

Always an enjoyable meal. The pastrami smoked salmon sandwich was great. We have tried many menu items and always good.

Another great visit to Gritty's! Have to disagree with the other reviewer though. This location blows Portland away and is larger and the service is better and friendlier. No difference in food though, same quality and the mac and cheese with kielbasa is unreal! A must stop if you are in town and finished at the outlets! You cannot beat... More

I tried this restaurant for the first time with some friends and I thought it was a great lunch. I ordered the turkey club sandwich with cranberry mayo. I was pleasantly surprised to see it arrive with real turkey instead of the deli turkey a lot of places use. Plenty of turkey, bacon, and the mayo was flavorful. The homemade... More

My mother loves this place. Every time she comes up to Maine for a visit, she likes to go to Gritty's for their lobster roll/clam chowder special. The staff is very pleasant, however, the bench like cafeteria style seating can be problematic if you wind up sitting next to a rowdy group of drinkers. Hard to have a conversation when... More

Came here once for a dinner after a day of shopping with family. Ordered the mac n cheese with fried jalapeño peppers. Decent portion, decent meal, did enjoy the peppers though! Visited August 2012.
