Usually stop here when we are in the area. The food is typical pub grub but always good. I had the lobster roll and chowder special and my husband had the burger. I have to say mine was just ok which is unusual. The beer is great and my favorite is the Black Fly Stout.

Service was good, prices were also good. I had the lobster roll and clam chowder special. The chowder was not very good and the lobster tasted like it had been made earlier in the day, it was too cold to be enjoyable. If you are looking for a great selection of beer and some pub food then you will probably... More

We've been here a few times over the years and it never disappoints! Fantastic burgers, pub-grub style apps and great brews on tap. The homemade chips are a must! Skip the fries and get these crunchy salty chips instead.

Always busy, classic pub holds a nice place in Maine. Food is nothing special, decor is noting special. Staff varies, nothing special. The beer offerings are special. A nice piece of Freeport.

Went here for lunch. very informal bar/pub type atmosphere. Food is good pub food. Plenty of there own brews on tap. In the summer you can go sit on the deck but not great views. The staff is friendly the service is good. If it is crowded you can sometimes feel as though you are sitting in each others laps.... More

Great pub atmosphere. Good place to watch sports. Nice outdoor area in summer. Good for families. Can be noisy and hard to hold a conversation when there is live music, but you can sit further away from the performer. Great homemade chips! By the way, the picture here is not the Gritty's in Freeport, this is in Auburn.

We've been to Gritty's at least 3 times in the last two years. It's convenient for us and fine for a casual bite after shopping or on the way home from events in Portland. The food is average, not bad, just nothing special. The Mac and Cheese is the disappointment here, tasteless, but everything else (in our case: Lamb burger,... More

Great location and good food, nice portion sizes and I enjoy the live music on weekends. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for the food if they are busy but the servers are friendly and accommodating which makes it worth the wait. Pricing is reasonable if you stick with the menu when you start to add on the extras... More

Pub style food. Family friendly and always decent food. The beer is crafted on property, thus its good.

We had a great meal here! Food was fresh, beer was cold and the service was great. Loved the relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely come back again when in the area. Their beer was great too, loved the IPA
