After some shopping at LL Bean we stopped in for dinner. I got my usual Fish & Chips and my daughter got the Blackened Haddock Burrito. I got the Gritty's Chips that I love with the Malt Vinigar. My daughter got a Octoberfest Beer that she thought was great. Her dinner, not so much. The Nachos served with it were... More

Do you like GREAT beer? Do you like great bar cuisine (sandwich, nachos, fabulous wings, and more)? Do you like a casual environment with friendly staff? OK how about a business that quietly gives back to the community consistently with no expectations. I do and that's why I go there regularly.

The view was nice looking over the bay. Service and food excellent. Best clam chowder in 3 states! Great pulled pork. Fun time drinking Halloween Nitro beer!

What a great place!! The food was sooooo good. Had a Buffalo burger that was "creation", a culinary masterpiece...Yumm. The servers are gracious, friendly, helpful and engage in a fun dialog with whom ever they serve. Highly recommend!!

This was my 2nd or 3rd visit. This time it was crowded and it was very loud. The fish was hot and very good, the sweet potato chips were not hod and looked like that had been sitting in the kitchen for a long time. The salad and cole slaw were good. Sat at a long table with a nice... More

Neither of us were thrilled with our meals. They all sounded way better on the menu description. The local beer was good. Would not go back.

What is not to like about a brewpub? Especially one with energetic servers, good food, and great brews. Just south of Freeport, and not a chain. All pluses in my mind.

Loving a good beer we figured we had to try out Gritty McDuffs while we were staying near Freeport. We went on a beautiful summer evening and sat outside which was very nice. We enjoyed watching all the kids play in the fenced in play area beside the deck as we sipped our beverages. The beer selection was decent. Being... More

This was your classic brewpub, casual, relaxed friendly but not your usual brewpub menu. Along with some great craft beers, a menu with items like a Garden Burger and Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas.

After reading rave reviews we decided to check the place out. We arrived around 8:00 pm. to find the place busy but we were seated right away. Most of the tables are long shared tables with long backless benches. Not comfortable on the back so we asked to be moved to a table with chairs. My first impression - LOUD.... More
