Cute little diner.

It was crowded but comfortable. The lady who took our order was very nice and friendly. The food was average. I ordered a crab roll to take a break from the lobster rolls. It needed more seasoning and it was refrigerator cold. I had plenty to eat.

Wife had clam chowder, which she said it had good flavor and good sized chunks of clans, potatoes, and celery. Not too salty which she has found with other places in Maine. I had the lobster roll which had large chunks of lobster and the roll was warm and tender. We will go back.

Chowder was absolutely tasteless, the opinion of myself and 3 other family members. If you like watered down, bland, overpriced chowder..go for it. VERY DISAPPOINTING, biggest regret this trip.

It was pouring outside and we ducked in to dry off and have some chowder. There were many options for soup and the five of us all had something different and they were all great. Service was ok not as focused on patrons as much as their own activities-but I would come back again

We were looking for a place to get a quick lunch and found this place. All four of us ordered the lobster rolls and a separate side of fries. There was plenty of lobster piled in the bun and the fries came on a platter that formed a huge mound. Needless to say we were full by the end of... More

Being from San Francisco, we explore the clam chowder wherever we travel. We had read that the Chowder House had superior quality to offer. We found the prices too high for the portions, but more importantly, the flavor was lacking and unim- pressive. The cashier was curt and off-putting; we almost just cancelled our order and walked out, but wanted... More

Their famous lobster rolls consist of a bland, tasteless piece of lobster in a miniscule bun and a few packets of mayo. And for this we paid $16. Avoid this place.

This little shack has great lobster rolls. Don't miss out. Great price too. Do not expect a fancy seafood restaurant, just a hole in the wall, but great.

So you have to stop in for the lobster roll. Lots of lobster! The fries are delicious too. YUM! Stopped in on a locals recommendation and we were not disappointed.

They claim to have "awarding winning chowder" but we've had better from a can - MUCH better, in fact. We paid $9.99 each for a bowl of seafood chowder and got cold potato soup. There was no fish, clams, scallops or shrimp as promised. After i picked out the potatoes, there was only a little milk left. The potatoes filled... More
