The staff were awesome but the food was terrible. The brocolli smelled sour and both 'thai' dishes tasted like bad teriyaki. We had the pad thai and the pad se ew (sp?). I got very sick after eating here..and i mean sick! I hate to post negative reviews on such a lovely little restaurant but I want to be honest.... More

While in Farmington and trying various eateries to find something more than the usual suspects, we tried Thai Smile located on the ground floor of the building. If you can't find it, drive down to the parking lot and it's easy to spot. We were surprised with the available draught beers, from Maine's Baxter Brewing to California imports including Lagunitas.... More

It is so wonderful to have a Thai/Sushi place in Farmington! The sushi is limited (sake, maguro, faux crab, masago), but that's likely a function of the difficulty in getting provisioned in the North Woods and the less adventurous tastes of the locals. But the quality is good and it works to fill that craving for sushi. The Thai food is... More

I may have gotten off on the wrong foot when I asked to be seated at a table rather than at the bar on high chairs. Though I was alone, I was tired and the restaurant was nearly empty so I preferred a chair with my feet on the floor. The service was perfectly acceptable but I've had a warmer... More

I was pleasantly surprised: from outside the restaurant looks like an afterthought. Inside, maybe ten tables but a full bar. Ambitious menu lovingly executed. As good as any such place in west village NYC, which was the vibe they seem to be going for. Odd vibe for a new England college town with strong local redneck element. That said, I... More

When in Maine visiting my son, we always have a mean here. The food is great and the price is right. I always have the Thai Basil fried rice with shrimp. EXCELLENT! Also I love their Tom Yum soup. Probably the best I have had anywhere. Not sure where the other reviews come off saying food was cold, as ours... More

Based on Sushi that I have eaten on the seacoast of both Maine and NH this sushi is not much to be excited about. It is not awful, but when I was there it was served at room temperature and was not great on the palate, especially considering the price. I have been more impressed with the pre-made sushi they... I have never tried Thai food but have wanted to since Thai Smile opened, my husband and I finally went and were blown away! It was delicious!!! The lunch specials were a little pricey ($11-$17 depending on the meat you got with the dish) but worth it! We will be going again! They are hopefully opening one closer to us... More
