Friendly Staff Good Food

Had a nice Breakfast here along with a nice waitress that was on top of things as it was very busy she didn’t miss a beat The Eggs Benedict I had was second to none. Loved this place glad I found it.

Who could ask for anything more? Delicious. Friendly service. Homemade hash and dinner plate sized pancakes. A local favorite.

The food is good, the atmosphere is inviting and the wait staff makes me sick. Talk about attitude and unfriendly, you have to see it to believe it.

Unfortunately this place will never go out of business because the locals are used to eating swill and don't know any different, otherwise the locals just need this place to stay open if for no other reason, the jobs. The positive reviews on this site are written by employees and their family members. Purple Cow exists to see how long... More

Although its a little off the beaten path, we were recommended by a local when we were in town looking for a place to eat. Although we arrived late in the evening, there were plenty of people.which continued to be a good sign. If there was any remaining doubt, it was gone as soon as I opened the menu and... More

Great old fashion cooking! The entire place is themed from the 30's to the 60's! Great Atmosphere. Seat yourself, first come first served! The food was bountiful and delicious!

We decided to try the restaurant out. We were very disappointed. The omelet was not that great and had a weird taste to it. The home fries was kind of bland. They had no flavor to them. The coffee was luke warm and hardly tasted like coffee. Over all the food could have use some seasoning, without seasoning the food tasted... More

We have a place in northern Maine and always stop in for breakfast at the Purple Cow on our way up. It is a favorite place for the locals. We always order the corned beef hash, which is delicious. The portions are huge. The service is friendly and fast. This is a great diner and well worth the short detour... More

Met a friend here for breakfast, had no idea about this restaurant. Very generous portions at a great price. More home fries than anyone should eat in one setting, and a blueberry muffin that was huge. Servers were very attentive, and never let the coffee cup go empty. Definitely will stop in again, easy to get to from the interstate,... More

Had blueberry pancakes but were not very flavorful. Just average food which was good, not great. The service was adequate. It was quite busy, but still had what we needed. Locals seem to love it.
