Wow!!!!! Breakfast should be easy to get right. Most places seem to miss it somehow..... Sylvia's nails it with the potatoes alone. Crisp and golden on the outside, soft and steaming hot inside. Fresh eggs, meat and great toast never hurt either..... Worth the tight quarters. Yum is the best word.....

When my plate of food arrived, it was so hot I could not chew the first bite I tried to eat! It was so amazing! Just what I ordered and was it good! I can not express how much this place has come back to its glory! Me and my friends will be back here this week-end! Count on it!

Check out the "Riverside" then got to Sylvia's, our new go to breakfast and lunch place when in the Ellsworth area.

I have been a breakfast cook over twenty years and this little place is proving to get it right! Good job! I will always recommend Sylvia's to my friends and family!

My sister turned me on to Sylvia's years ago. It is tucked away in a mini mall in Ellworth but the food is out of this world, big portions and inexpensive. The place is always full of customers but the service is excellent.

We had a wonderful breakfast with just as good service. Very comfortable environment. You cannot go wrong at all by eating at this establishment

We had average expectations before dining [lunch] yesterday at Sylvia's and walked away talking about how good the food and service was. I tried the crab omelet and instructed the waitress to please don't overcook it [hate those burned omelets!]. My wife had a turkey sandwich. My omelet can out hot and perfectly cooked and my wife couldn't stop talking... More

I really liked Sylvia's. It is the true local, "Mom & Pop" kind of place that I always like. These kinds of places are really hard to find but this one was perfect for me. I felt like a local here. It is not a fancy tourist place. There were a couple of tourist like me there but mostly were... More

Breakfast was okay. Nothing great. Homemade bread was good, everything else was typical. Eggs, home fries, sausage links. Coffee . The eggs were not over done and that was the plus.

Thanks for the review. I want to mention a few things I think make Sylvia's better than just average. First is that we cook fresh. Muffins and biscuits made in house daily in addition to our offering homemade bread. Homefries cut fresh and offered deep fried or grilled. Corned beef hash, sausage gravy, and baked beans all made from scratch.... More

We ate here on a rainy summer Thursday morning. The service is slow. The establishment was bustling, based on the review rankings on here I presume. It took the waitress 15 minutes to come offer us coffee and even longer to take our order. I had to refill my own coffee. Once the food came however, it was delicious. The... More

Thanks for the review. I am very glad to hear that you felt the food was top notch. Sounds like we may have been experiencing a hiccup in service. While its not common it does happen in any restaurant from time to time. 15 minutes to wait for coffee is not acceptable and to my knowledge not something I am... More
