The ONLY place to get ice cream!

We love visiting Morton's Moo year round. We've tried several flavors over the last few years and love them all. Our children always get strawberry and we absolutely love the Coffee Heath Bar! I could drink their hot fudge if that wouldn't be frowned upon. Delicious and great to take pints home... read more

Do yourself a favor and make sure to stop here on your way through, or before leaving, Ellsworth. This may be our favorite ice cream shop anywhere in the country. Ice cream made in house, flavored you'd expect and many you may not, changing all the time as they try new things. Absolutely delicious!

The ice cream was high quality and delicious, if a bit pricey. They used fresh ingredients when available. It's a block off the main drag, but definitely worth tracking down.

If you are looking for some of the very best ice cream you'll ever find anywhere, be sure to stop in at Morton's Moo. There is a wide array of delicious flavors of homemade ice cream to choose from in this very charming little café. I really don't think you could go wrong with any choice. The quality of their... Stopped for some dessert after dinner. We had heard of Morton's Moo but hadn't been there before. Glad we decided to try it. We had the peach ice cream sandwich on a ginger cookie and a heath bar ice cream sandwich on a chocolate chip cookie.

Best treat ever! Stopped in with the kiddos. One ordered a crazy concoction shake of vanilla ice cream, bananas and chocolate - amazingly good. The other had two scoops, each a different flavor, in a home-made waffle cone. I went for two scoops, peach and ginger, in a dish with home-made fudge sauce. There is noting like freshly made ice... Beautiful day with a great friend ended at Mortons Moo. We had ice cream (delicious I might add) and the chocolatiest cappuccino ever in the history of man! Just off the beaten path but worth the stop for all ages!!

As an ice-cream junkie I'll try any place that sells its own homemade ice cream. Morton's Moo is a terrific little place, just off Route 1 downtown. I had a malt made with fudgin curmudgeon – a really dark, mildly semi-sweet chocolate – and it was unbelievably good. There's only one size (20 oz.) for shakes and malts and I... More

Stopped by there yesterday and picked up a "two scoop cup" of coffee heath bar ice cream to go. The cup was quite small for $5, it had very little flavor of coffee, it was sickeningly sweet, and it was not frozen hard. I have never had ice cream served to me that was served this soft. The lady that... More

Odd title for an awesome homemade milkshake/sundae combination. They are open year round but with reduced hours in the winter. To compensate, they have all-you-can-eat every other Friday in the winter months. All of their flavors are sumptuous and worth the time to savor every lick or spoonful. The owners and staff are friendly even when they are busy. Hey,... More
