Nice Surprise!

We stopped by based on TripAdvisor reviews while vacationing in Maine. It was a nice surprise! Nice, homemade ice cream and friendly service. Okay, so it's not really a "restaurant" but the ice cream is amazing. I had Mint Chocolate Chip (the mintiest I've ever had), Dolce de Leche, and Vanilla with PB cups. Not all on the same visit of course! My daughter loved the Fudgeon Curmudgeon - the darkest fudgiest ice cream ever. Also, they have lots of GF products: regular... More

This is a welcoming ice cream (and coffee) shop with homemade ice cream - it is a little off the main street in Ellsworth but well worth the slight detour. The ice cream is homemade and delicious, the staff friendly and helpful. You can tell a lot of love goes into the making and delivery of a great product. This... More

Take time to search out this ice cream place. The ice cream is just amazing. The ginger is especially good, as is the coconut, and when it's available, the peach is great. The milk is from local farms, and the ice cream is oh, so creamy good!

Ice cream is very good. They use fresh ingredients. Blueberry ice cream was the best. Cost a bit more than other places but worth it.

We love visiting Morton's Moo year round. We've tried several flavors over the last few years and love them all. Our children always get strawberry and we absolutely love the Coffee Heath Bar! I could drink their hot fudge if that wouldn't be frowned upon. Delicious and great to take pints home too! Eat inside at some point when you... More

Do yourself a favor and make sure to stop here on your way through, or before leaving, Ellsworth. This may be our favorite ice cream shop anywhere in the country. Ice cream made in house, flavored you'd expect and many you may not, changing all the time as they try new things. Absolutely delicious!

The ice cream was high quality and delicious, if a bit pricey. They used fresh ingredients when available. It's a block off the main drag, but definitely worth tracking down.

If you are looking for some of the very best ice cream you'll ever find anywhere, be sure to stop in at Morton's Moo. There is a wide array of delicious flavors of homemade ice cream to choose from in this very charming little café. I really don't think you could go wrong with any choice. The quality of their... Stopped for some dessert after dinner. We had heard of Morton's Moo but hadn't been there before. Glad we decided to try it. We had the peach ice cream sandwich on a ginger cookie and a heath bar ice cream sandwich on a chocolate chip cookie.
