We stopped off here for lunch and a break from driving, and were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the sandwiches. Available toasted, there was a late variety of fillings, and table service from friendly, helpful staff. The coffees and desserts are also excellent, so if you're ever passing through Ellsworth, the Maine Grind is well worth a visit.

The Maine Grind offers creative breakfast and lunch along with Cleonice. They have an excellent baker, and make a variety of creative and healthy smoothies as well as egg dishes.

This coffee shop is in the center of downtown Ellsworth. Parking, if the street is crowded, is on the side street and behind the building. There are multiple jewelry and art shops in the same building. They serve a great latte and also have breakfast pastries and sandwiches. Reasonably priced

Had lunch here and found the atmosphere to be very trendy and casual. The waitress was great and laid back- felt like talking with a friend. The draft beers were a nice addition to the drink list rather than just coffees. The sandwiches we ordered were good, a little dry and could use a little more pizazz. The place was... More

We were hungry, needed lunch and stumbled in with no idea what to expect...on the 4th of July no less. Liked the look and feel of the place, sort of "college town" liberal vibe/birkenstocks kind of place. Eclectic menu that features greek style food. Sort of something for everyone including hard liquor and specialty coffee. Owner was sweet person and... More

Stopped in for some coffee on a very busy afternoon. Wait was long, but the vibe was cool. Everyone seemed very nice. Nice way to warm up on a cold summer day.

Visit was in off season, but business was brisk. Real comfortable atmosphere, good food, fair prices. Will be back.

This was my first visit and I am flat bread pizza freak so I decided to test out their pizza. They have many options and varieties to choose from so you can create at will. 10" pizza was not overly seasoned, fresh, hot and served in a timely manner. Service was pleasant and knowledgeable. So, on the pizza front, I... More

Had such a great lunch/service on one day we went back the next day for lunch, meal was delicious but the service was lacking even though we had the same server. She was not friendly and almost unpleasant???? We wondered if she considered our tip was not sufficient the day before therefore we deserved a lesser service. It certainly wasn't... More

So sorry for your your unpleasant service on your second trip. We work hard to have good service, I don't know if your server was having a rough day, or something entirely different. We discourage our servers from checking tips, it's really the volume that makes a difference in the end, not the individual tip. I appreciate you taking the... More
