I loved the down home feel of Martha's. It's a favorite place for locals to meet and eat. We ate brunch there two days in a row. On our first visit I had their special eggs Benedict made with local lump crabmeat which was sublime!! My husband had the special scrambled eggs with wonderful home fries and Italian sausage, peppers... More

The service and atmosphere, friendliness and welcoming tone, cannot be beat. The food is good, better than any other breakfast place in town (though that alone is not saying too much considering the competition).

They make good omelets. I like the one with broccoli and Swiss cheese. The home fries are a little large and not as tasty as I would like but my husband loves them. Homemade toast costs extra. It is a little loud in there but unless you want a quiet conversation it is okay and even fun at times.

We've only been there for breakfast, but I don't believe I've ever been in a place where the service was better. The food is also excellent. They do an Eggs Benedict with an actual slice of ham on it that is fantastic, but you better be hungry! They also make their own bread. The 50's and 60's artwork and oldies... More

We got there for breakfast and the staff was very kind although they were super busy and they got our party of 6 in in a short amount of time. The food was delicious - our family all ordered different specials and tried each other's food, and we honestly couldn't pick our favorite! The atmosphere is busy but fun, with... More

We have converted over to Martha's after a few terrible experiences at the Riverside. Martha's has delicious pancakes and the ham and eggs are my favorite. Everyone here is friendly and the atmosphere is a fun Lucy theme.

So we read reviews of Martha's and decided to try it out. We got there AT 2pm, If not a few minutes prior. At first we saw the location and pulled in, and said wth we are here let's try it. Walked up to door (2 of which were wide open) and noticed a closed sign in the window. We... More

This is a great example of the vanishing American diner with fresh baking and everything prepared on the premises by Martha and her staff. Real flavors from real ingredients. Visit when driving to Mt desert island.

Good grub on the cheap. Perhaps I should say high quality eats on a budget. Friendly staff as well. Only downfall is that they only accept cash.
