A great find.

We happened upon Finns after a drive to Bar Harbor. I had the grilled Haddock and Oysters on the half shell, while my wife had Fish & Chips (turns out the "chips" we're homemade potato chips...American type) and fried artichoke hearts with the stem. All our selections were excellent and the staff... read more

We stopped for lunch in February on a Friday - very busy with the the local crowd which is always a good sign! I had the clam chowder as a starter - homemade and delicious. Then to follow, the crispy crab wrap, with a side of potato salad which was very unique - no mayonnaise but dressed lightly with fresh... More

The meal was just..ok. Not a whole lot of flavor or choices. Dining space is small so on the nights when they have an in house musician it can be very loud for little ones ears.

We stopped here after the Banff Film Festival World Tour event, and relaxed with a good dinner, well priced and great service.

Finn's has some of the best food in down east Maine, most with an Irish flare. Their fish and chips is always a great choice, their tenderloin is one of the best I've had, and their chicken teriyaki salad is simply delicious. There food is also very reasonable priced.

Was looking for a place to have dinner in Ellsworth and came across Finn's. I ordered the Dublin Mussels and the Pub Burger. The portions were so large and tasted so good by the time I finished the Mussels I was totally satisfied. I did have to take 3 bites of the burger ...you know just as a test and... More

Year after year of great meals and wicked good (owner made) desserts always reward our trips to Ellsworth. Just LOVE the steak & mushroom pie but like their wraps too. Today, we're in town for errands, banking , some shopping, and decided to treat ourselves to Finn's. Decided to try the Pesto Shrimp Wrap today. Big WIN ! Of course, their... More

Ambiance of place very interesting. An old diner car inside is the bar area. The prices are moderate and the menu is varied and delicious. Both visits... More

Both of my parents are from Ireland so I know authentic Irish pub food when I see it and this place does not fit the bill. The food wasn't bad by any means, but it took over an hour for 4 burgers (in July) to be made. Over all our dining experience was 3 hours. I think that's outrageous for... More
