This pub has some great items, if you order the burgers you will not be disappointed. Their pub fair is not my favorite items on the menu. One of my wife's favorite places to eat in Ellsworth.

Very good selection of local craft beers (and others - Bud Light drinkers need not apply). Limited wine selection & full bar. Varied menu, sandwiches, salads and pub entrees. Finn's home made potato chips are THE BEST. Skip the fries, get the chips. Blackened salmon sandwich or salad, Ellsworth grinder are favorites. Everything about the place went up a notch... More

Finns is a go to when it comes to average food and service. I say this as kindly as possible. You'll never have a bad meal there..... You'll also never have a great meal..... Seating is tight and the service is so so at best...... Food prices are just about right, IF your expectations are not too high..... Just a... More

We travelled from Ohio by car to stay on MDI for a few weeks this past January and February.. what a Winter. We always stay in a place w a full kitchen as I like to cook, I enjoy homemade more often than restaurants these days. Well the weather blew colder and MDI had next to nothing open for a... More

Reasonable prices, child choices. Good wine and beer selection. Occasional entertainment. Good Mac and Cheese, blackened salmon sandwiches or Bangers and Mash.

We wish we didn't live an hour away. This is what every town should have...a neighborhood pub. We eat in the dining room which is casual. It's so nice to see groups of people enjoying chatting, eating & drinking. I had a superb flounder in a white wine sauce w/ shallots; garlic mashed (yum tum); and the best roasted mixed... More

I visited recently with my wife during a late lunch. I was greeted with a smile and told to sit anywhere. Inside is nicely decorated and a fun place. There was no music currently, but a nice set-up. The food was extremely tasty. The fish sandwich was a thinner batter and nicely presented on a bun. The Shepard's pie was... More

I am the type of person who goes to the same places because I know what they are like. If I don't like what I have or the service is bad ,I don't go back. A friend and I met for dinner Thursday night and she chose Finn's. Okay, I thought. I will give that a try to make her... More

I know, who would have thought it? I eat Haddock every time I come to Maine and they made the best one I've had in memory. At a Irish pub. Go figure. Their bangers & mash sandwich was good and the Pumpkin & Ginger Cheesecake was unexpectedly delicious. Plus a good draft beer selection. Who could ask for more? Go... More
