Eat only seafood or breakfast items here. This is the first time we've returned since new ownership (gentleman is from Rhode Island). We were looking forward to eating in the rear dining room because it formerly was always too chilly there once the weather moved from summer to fall. Our waitress was very, very good & busy, but always attentive.... More

My wife Kathy and I think this place is great. Located in Eastport Maine the Waco diner has excellent seafood as well land lubber dishes. The fish sandwich my wife had tasted great. Fried just right. My hamburger was perfect. The fries were excellent. The fish chowder was a good as my grandmother used to make. The dinner has unusual... More

Oldest diner in Maine sez the sign. Right on the waterfront. Food was pretty good (grilled chicken sandwich & turkey club sandwich). Fries were crisp and hot when served. Bottled beer is bottled beer. The service was a bit aloof, perhaps because they were about to close for the day. And that was a bit surprising since we never saw... More

My wife and I went to the Waco for lunch while visiting Eastport. My wife had the fish chowder and a fish sandwich and she said both were great. I had the Mexican omelet. (It was on the breakfast menu but they got me one for lunch anyway.) Our server was very friendly and we got our food quickly. The... More

Not all long established (since 1924) local cafes are good - this one had mediocre breakfast and somewhat rude service.

What a surprise this little place was. We sat outside by the water on a lovely sunny morning and had one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. My two companions agreed. Super service by a very friendly waitress. Great menu selection, too.

The Waco Diner is a friendly place with a great view. We stopped there for lunch. I had a perfectly acceptable bowl of chowder and sandwich and my companion had a good burger. We sprang for dessert, and both the peanut butter-chocolate pie and the lemon cake were excellent! Prices weren't bad either.

Had breakfast here with my wife and friend. Eggs and hash were quite good--hash homemade. Salmon and eggs also good. Service friendly and efficient . Menu varied with good selections.

Loved breakfast with the local folks! Can't beat it! Right downtown, so go early, grab a coffee and make some friends!

Waco Diner is one of the oldest restaurants in the state of Maine. Breakfast is excellent with daily specials. Great value for all meals.
