It was a Friday, fish fry it is! The fish was so soaked in grease it was nasty! The French fries had a good taste, but were cold. Coleslaw was pretty tasty. Our men had a lobster dinner. The dinner consisted of a very small lobster, a side of cold fries and an even smaller portion of coleslaw. Guess we... More

I took part in the "Paint Eastport Day" last weekend. The chowder house dock is the place to be!! Pirates, the view of the cliffs and ocean cannot be beat! The staff is friendly and drinks were great! I had dinner there Friday evening. It was a breast cancer fund raiser with"volunteer" waitresses and they were very good. My food... More

We had dinner here 3 times b/c we loved the view out over the water, and felt the simple preparation of seafood was well done. It looked as if a lot of local people ate there. There was a small wine list, and several local beers were offered. Two nights we had a really fabulous waitress, and one night the... More

This is one of our two favorite places to eat in Eastport (the other is the Quoddy Bay Lobster Company at the other end of town). Unlike Quoddy Bay this is a full-service restaurant with table service, an extensive menu, rest rooms, and a spectacular view out over the river to Canada. The food is very good, and my wife... More

This lobster roll had so much meat, I couldn't eat the whole thing and I have a huge appetite. I cannot express how awesome my experience was here. The seafood chowder was also to die for.

Made a point to visit this place on a day trip to Eastport. The reviews were pretty accurate. The seafood chowder is quite good.

Visited the Chowder house for Friday Fish Fry. English style fish arrived hot and was delicious. Chowder is also very good. The view is the best in Eastport. We will be back.

This is our third time to eat here over a couple of years. We always hear these fantastic things about it and it's just alright for the prices. When a plate of fish costs $22 it should be outstanding. It was ok. Not bad either, but I'm not gonna spend $22 on it again. Not when I can buy fresh... More

Visited in October, so Eastport was "rolling up the sidewalks" for the long winter. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere was family friendly and all locals; definitely not white tablecloth fine dining, but we were there for the lobster. My husband was super pleased with the lobster "twins". They were perfect and almost soft-shelled. We could peel them with our... More
