Had dinner here two nights, one at the bar, with my wife, on a recent visit to Deer Isle/Stonington, while staying at the Inn where the restaurant is located. Good choice, relaxing pace in the restaurant, not so much in the bar but the locals were fun to watch and listen to. Good food, nicely plated. Not cheap, but price... More

Delicious! The halibut with lobster and pea risotto was fantastic and memorable. We were still talking about it at breakfast.

Dinner here is not to be missed. The seafood is cooked perfectly. Creative entrees and locally sourced foods. Don't miss the risotto!

They did not have shrimp for their Bloody Maria and service was sub par for a higher end restaurant. There was a fly buzzing around and the table was covered with paper over cloth which was not conducive to fine dining in my opinion. My meal came half cooked and was sent back. We did not stay for dessert. Overrated... More

I just had the most fabulous meal with my parents! I had the halibut with lobster risotto, my father had the Hanger steak with red pepper polenta, and my mother had the rack of lamb. All were cooked perfectly as we asked including mine without cream. The entrees were beatifully presented with nastursiums from their own herb garden. Jodi, our... More

This place was a very pleasant surprise. We went to Deer Isle for a family vacation and were looking for a nice restaurant for our last night. There is not much to choose from in this area and after passing the Pilgrim's inn a number of times we decided it looked interesting enough to give it a try. We were... More

Ate here one night on a recent stay in Deer Isle. We had eaten here several years ago when the glass of wine was large and inexpensive and the food was ordinary at best. This year, the food was very good -- an excellent fish stew and nicely prepared scallops. The menu has somewhat limited choices and prices have definitely... More

The grounds are gorgeous, and the people are wonderful! We wandered around, decided to eat there, it was early in the evening, there was no room but we were brought to the small pub area, where we had a great meal with lovely surroundings. The risotto was great, the ribeye perfectly cooked. I love finding these places!

This is a great restaurant. We stayed at the inn where the tavern is located so we ate here a few times. Each meal was very special. The atmosphere is great as well.
