best ice cream in CARIBOU

This is a small ice cream shop that is only open during the summer. Lots of choices and lots of great ice cream.

This is a great place during the summer. For ice cream cones, floats, milk shakes and sundaes. Kids love it too.

Where else but northern New England would people be waiting in line in 45 degree weather for ice cream. If you are in the area this is the top choice for ice cream. With good prices, quality, and a nice selection this place is tough to beat. Along with the friendly service you won't go away disappointed.

The hardest part is deciding whether to get your favorite or try something new. Fresh Ice cream and treats with special flavors daily. You can't go just once.

Most visits I will order a soft serve vanilla which is saying a lot because I am a chocolate lover. Add the hot fudge sauce and I am in heaven. Prices are very reasonable.

Chocolate... or butter crunch? Local dairy, local milk, local cows. this is my absolute favorite ice cream, anywhere. A small dish (which is probably all you'll be able to eat) will be about two bucks. You can also find their milk, butter, and ice cream in stores in the area, and they're fabulous, too. Try the butter crunch ice cream.... More

Houlton Farms Dairy has hands down THE best ice cream there is. When going there, I either order just a small vanilla cone, an awful awful which is a very thick milkshake topped with more ice cream (you need a spoon!) or a brownie ala mode but made my special way.....hard chocolate ice cream, brownie and just hot fudge (extra... Huge portions, great ice cream, friendly staff and a great value. It was a very popular place and we went there twice.

If you're looking for an ice cold treat to beat the summer heat, this is ABSOLUTELY the place to go! It's so good that they have a spot at the food court in the mall (open year round) as well as their outdoor counter across from Wal-Mart. You will NOT be disappointed.
