Great sea food

This was the first time we tried lobster and they were really good about helping us out. The food is delicious. My son had the children's shrimp dinner which he really enjoyed but could not finsh!

No frill location by the water where you can get your lobster and other fried or boiled sea food for a reasonable price while wearing your sneakers... A must for a visitor, like you go to fisherman' s wharf in san francisco. Several size of lobster according to your budget. $20 for the smallest lobster dinner, $14 for a lobster... More

We had a late lunch here after arriving in Kennebunkport. It's a few miles outside Kennebunkport and a little hard to find without a GPS, but it's worth the drive. Fried food is cooked fresh when you order it and comes out very hot. I got the crab cakes which came three to an order and had to wait awhile... More

If you want to get out of town and sit and watch the fishermen come in and out, Cape Pier Chowder House is an ideal spot for a casual outdoor lunch. Not quite in the mood to break down a whole lobster, my husband and I both had lobster rolls and they were just how I like them. All lobster,... More

Ate my first lobster roll here - YUM! Prices are good, especially for wine and beer. Chowder was good too. We just stopped for a quick bite to eat and liked the casual look of the place. Picnic tables on the deck with a great view.

We went to Cape Porpoise Chowder House last week and once again it was great. I had a two pound lobster and even though they had only one hammer(the shell was that hard), it was delicious. Sitting on the dock while they lobster men bring in their catch is great. It is a hidden jewel and I hestiate to write... More

We found this gem by accident. We had some excellent clam chowder and seniors fish and chips. Fresh and delicious.

We always make it a point to take a ride up to Maine and dine here every summer. The restaurant is a hidden gem. There are about a dozen picnic tables on a Piet overlooking the water with views of goat island. It was a hot day yesterday in NH with temperatures at 95 but we arrived at the chowder... More

My husband & I ate at the Chowder House on May 23, 2013. We thought they only served chowders until we saw the menu posted outside. We had a choice of eating inside or outside on the deck beside the water. We ordered the fried Clam cakes which included 3 good-size cakes, French Fries & coleslaw. Fast service and large... More
