Wonderful lobster bisque

My wife and I lived in the area but have moved south to warmer climate, but one restaurant that we have never been able to match is that of Clay Hill Farm. Beautifully situated, the ambiance, the food and the staff are all outstanding. For any special event or just a nice quiet night out , Clay Hill Farm is... More

We went two nights in a row. After the first night we did not think it could get better, but it did. We look forward to our next visit to Maine just to go to Clay Hill Farm.

This elegant, unhurried restaurant is a real gem, providing stellar dishes at very fair prices in a warm, elegant atmosphere. We came here on a friend's recommendation and it surpassed our expectations. The Caesar salad with white anchovies ( on request) was delicious with a light dressing. The lobster bisque was incredible. I splurged on Fruitti di Mare, and even... More

I have always been a traditionalist when it comes to holidays and like to be at home. But when my wife asked if we could go to Maine for Easter it was a no brainer for me. Of course my first thought was what about Easter dinner? She assured me that she had it all figured out, and we were... More

Venue - Ambiance - Service excellent - prices reasonable - Food is average which was a disappointment after such a great start with outstanding Venue, Ambiance and Service. The food should match the facility and service. We are going to give them a second chance on April 26. When we dined here 20 years ago the food was outstanding.

The valet parked our car, and the host held the door open for us. We were seated in the dining area (right off the lounge), next to the fireplace.... More

Fabulous place to dine. Great for special events in your life. Especially like small dining room off lounge area. Food is always very good.
