Jamaican Food in Maine

Who would have expected to find Jamaican food in Maine. But driving up route 1 there is a Jamacian flag signaling good for ahead. Stoped here for dinner, it was a beautiful night, there was a good band playing, and the food was great. I started with a Jamacian pie, which was great, and I had the... read more

Although I am a local resident, this was my first visit to the Jamaican Jerk Center and the food was "okay." It was late September at the end of the summer season so they didn't have all menu items available. My group tried the jerk chicken and pork and found it to be dry with many small bones to navigate... More

The food was great. I had the jerk pork plate. It came with peas and rice along with veges and grilled plantains. The pork was more tender and moist than a comparable plate I had at the Jerk Center in Ocho Rios in January. And that was better than Scotchies! They have live music on Saturday nights. Piped the rest... More

First visit to this place since moving to the area. Had the jerk chicken which was perfection, served with a generous portion of black beans and rice as well as a plantain and a warm cabbage/carrot salad. We will be back. A rare find in an area that has few choices like this!

Best Jamaican food I've ever had! Meat is amazing, workers are very nice, music is awesome. I'm from New York and during every trip back to Maine I'd definitely come back to eat here!

If you're looking for authentic yummy Jamaican food in the Seacoast this is the place to be. The service here is tops, so friendly and kind. I've been coining for many summers now and the quality never goes down. I'm always happy to come back year after year. I love the whole menu. My personal favorite is the beef patty... More

My wife wanted one more lobster roll from 4 Mile Lobster as we headed south out of Maine. I thought I would stop at Flo's to get hot dogs for me and my son but the crowd at Flo's was more than I could stand. Just as my son starts to cry out "But I want a hot dog!" I... More

I want to begin by saying I have no idea what it has take me so long to write this review. I have been here so many times I have lost track. If you are looking for something a bit different then the usual food you find in this area you should stop by and try it! The food is... More

Stopped there twice in the same day on my way to long sands to go surfing. Lunch was a mix of jerk chicken and jerk pork, both of which were amazing. Dinner was a mix of curried goat and oxtail. I haven't had food like this since my last trip to Jamaica 6+ yrs. ago. Thank you!
