Casual, classy, quality!

Went on a Tuesday night after a very busy wedding weekend. Food and service were very good, atmosphere is classy casual. I had pan seared tuna which was prepared perfectly. Would be a wonderful fall/winter atmosphere restaurant.

Many friends of ours have been here. We pass by it all the time going up to Ogunquit. It has positives & some negatives. The apps we had were the Oyster Spinach Bisque & Calamari. The Bisque was good, but could have had more "Oyster" flavor. Still overall pretty nice. The Calamari was very flavorful & tender. Only problem ..the... More

I went up to York ME to visit my daughter who was there working in York Hospital in the OR as a traveling nurse. My birthday was the week before and she wanted to take me out to dinner for my birthday. I have been traveling to this area for over 30 years and have never eaten at the Cape... More

I was with a very large group and the staff handled us very well. The food was very good with a nice atmosphere that allowed us to hear each other without needing to raise our voices.

My husband and I made reservations for Thanksgiving 2014 dinner based on the positive ratings and trip advisor award. We both ordered the turkey special with the option for free 2nds. Ah, just like home! NOT. The presentation was merely a "pile-up" of mostly potatoes and squash topped with a small serving of turkey and string beans. Way too salty... More

We are sorry your Thanksgiving meal at the Cape Neddick Inn did not meet your expectations. We assure you that all of turkeys prepared were fresh, not frozen or canned – we are a scratch kitchen. I am assuming the kitchen ran out of vanilla ice cream and substituted with our homemade flavored ice cream – we apologize for the... More

A group of 5 of us enjoyed a good meal at the Cape Neddick Inn Restaurant. All of our entrees were delicious. But there was 'something' that just won't allow me to give this a higher ranking. The main dining room was just a big room - nothing special about it. There was also just a hint of a smell... More

We are so sorry you found our dining room to be “nothing special”. We have gone to great pains to professionally stage the room to provide a tasteful, comfortable, cozy dining atmosphere with our large roaring stone fireplace, artwork from the native Wyeth family, padded dining tables and flooring to reduce noise. Not sure how to respond to your “smell”... More

Went with a group of 9 people. Service was very good as was the food. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We had the back room reserved which gave us plenty of privacy. The bar appeared to be quite busy. It had a very comfortable and inviting feel to it

The CNI excels in all areas that a restaurant could hope to. The best and most tasteful decor , original art, attention to detail. The food was superb ...the best , perhaps tied with le doyenne in Paris. Two visits over a weekend ensured several taste treats, crab stuffed artichokes, mussels au poivre, fabulous chowders, melt in your mouth entrees.... More
