Sorry, but this is not my cup of tea. I hear the bar scene is decent for those under 35, but the food is not good. My last meal there was a real disaster. At Peter Ott's we are willing to accept criticism and take bad reviews in stride and to heart. As relatively new owners, now entering our third year, we are eager to address any areas in which customers have found us lacking. This particular review, however, gave us pause. We have not served venison in over a year and a half...
Recommended by a local who was walking past. Good salad bar, awesome macadamia-crusted halibut with roasted brussel sprouts (yum!), and an awesome brownie sundae. more
We enjoyed Peter Ott's so much we ate there a 2nd night. The food was outstanding and the salad bar one of the best I have ever had. We highly recommend this restaurant. more
lovin it. great food, good prices, awesome atmosphere. eaten there so many times, always good. quirks in the beginning of the new owners, ie fall '06. but, all smoothed out. definetly worth a try. after dinner croud, post 9pm, is always fun to be around. more

We stopped for a small dinner after busy day. The appetizers were a bit overcooked. I tried the crabcake appetizer, which tasted fine - but had a noticeably strong ammonia odor. Somehow I think it was the price that drew the negative reviews. Never had a bad meal here and the atmosphere is fine. The wait staff and food are superb.
