Convenient and delicious

Arrived late in the area from travel. Walked around town to check out the harbor area, restaurants & outdoor menus. Decided on Cappy's and was not disappointed. Only indoor overlooking bay seating, but view is great. Cool night so was glad to be indoors. Waited in the upstairs bar for about 10... read more

I will start on a positive note the lobster roll was delicious nothing but lobster! The seafood stew was also tasty although we ordered it as a starter and it didn't show up until dinner. A meal we waited at least 50 minutes for. The explanation was that as a server she has no control over the kitchen -the stew... More

Typical pub fare and a good selection of adult beverages. It seemed family-friendly too, despite the cramped quarters. Best popcorn chicken I've ever had, with delicious fries. Yum!

The wait for a table in restaurant was long so we opted for the pub. No one at hostess stand to greet us so we sat at bar to find the hostess sorting utensils at bar. Nonetheless we were fine at bar. Busy bar for a Wed night. Our bartender was busy waiting tables as well so service was slow... More

I eat here with a large business group. The view from upstairs is great, service was very good and food was delicious.

This place is what you would expect for a seaside fish house. While they serve up excellent quality seafood standards, they also had a few things on the menu that were innovative. The daily soup special was a seafood chowder with lobster, scallops, clams and mushrooms. I must say, it was probably one of the best soups I've ever had,... More

We got take out at Cappy's Chowder House since they do not have any outdoor seating (we were traveling with a dog) at the restaurant. We did eat outside of their bakery and lunch spot. The young women who ran this bakery were wonderful, even when this establishment was very crowded. Bailey even loved their homemade dog biscuits.

For lunch, Literally I had a cup of chowder and a salad and two beers. My bill was $45. Service was horrible. The chowder was good but salad was not. One of the most disappointing meals I have had. Oh well lesson learned. Do not waste your time and money

We love to travel and dine out and experience different food. Cappy's was recommended to us, but quite honestly it is a place I wouldn't return to for dinner. I had Crab Cakes which were quite tasty after I had picked out the canned corn kernels, but my husband had Fried Oysters that were over cooked and as he said... More
