Harbor views and it feels like Maine!

I visit the Camden area occasionally and recently visited Cappy's when I was there. They added a new dining room a couple years ago, and it's such a pleasant place to sit and look out over Camden Harbor. Service is good and the menu has lots to offer, both for seafood and land lovers. The fish... read more

Beautiful view, great food. We got the crab artichoke dip and hand cut fries for apps. Both great. Kids got pasta, nachos and turkey pot pie. My wife got salad with salmon and I had crab salad sandwich with fries. All very good. Leftovers put in containers with artistic foil animals covering them: love the creative twist. Only complaint was... More

I returned to Camden a few days ago, while staying in Portland. Over the summer, I didn't have the chance to try Cappy's and this was my chance. Both servers were very kind, and welcoming. The house dressing, with Dijon mustard is out of this world! I enjoyed the restaurant during this slower time, and the staff were genuinely kind... More

Camden is pretty even in winter so we wanted a view of the water which Cappy's has in abundance. The potential there is amazing if they could just come up a few bars in food and service. We had been warned by a local that the dining room was a tourist trap. We went anyway and did regret our choice.... More

We visited Cappys Chowder House on our weekend away 3/28/15. We arrived for a late lunch, early supper. We started with a small cup of chowder, I thought it was good, not exceptionally great as I read in most review. It had quite a different taste, my quest enjoyed it. It was full of clams so that was a plus.... More

I ordered a salad that was not very good at all, I was surprised. the meal was ok, not bad, but nothing that made me want to rush back. I have eaten here plenty of times, and most of the meals have been, "ok". I had lunch with someone else and that person had a similar opinion. The atmosphere is... More

My chowder was delicious but my boyfriend was not happy with his entree. They didn't do anything to compensate either. He was very upset, he barely took two bites of the burger and left the entire meal and they didn't take it off the bill either...

I have been eating here on and off for 32 years. Sat. 3/21 was terrible. One used to be able to count on this joint. No more! Two seriously overcooked burgers went home to my Lab. Dog downed them w/out complaint. Burgers were ordered "blood rare" and affirmed by server. If the "COOK?" refused to present as ordered then say... More

Highly recommend this Camden seafood restaurant on the harbor. Great service and very reasonable prices. The lobster mac and cheese is excellent! Can't wait to visit again.

RJ the waiter was extremely attentive and helpful!! Please ask for him when you visit! Made us feel very welcome and gave great suggestions for places to try and see in the area. The food is great here. Especially the clam chowder! You will not be disappointed here!
