Great fish

Nice place. One of the local tourist places but despite being busy the food was fresh and well presented. We ate there several times and always had a good meal- lobster roll, scallops. Great service by charming and gracious college-age servers. Nice views from the second floor to the harbor.

Not only was this restaurant as cozy as it looks, the food was excellent (grown up grilled cheese?... yes please), and the staff made you feel like you had "come home". We were sad we could only stop in twice during our visit, will most certainly return next time we are in town.

Had a very nice birthday lunch. Food was excellent, service great. We had a small child with us who received attention from most of the staff who passed by.

Their chowder is thick and hearty. The haddock spills out of the bun and can feed a small army. Be sure to sit in the old section with all its charm and ask when the Bird's Nest is open, its worth having a drink there and watching the world go by along Rt 1.

Pleasant local tavern atmosphere with nice nautical décor. Decent lobster derived dishes, two of which we tried. Came hungry, left full and happy. Fun place.

Somebody needs to know when you tell the bartender twice, rare burger that it continues to cook off the grill. Suddenly everybody apologizes, but you gotta eat the well, you know?

Cappy's recently expanded, but needs to pay a little more attention to the food. The lobster roll was billed as having a whole lobster. Not so, small pieces of lobster and no larger than you get anywhere else in the area. Cappy's also touts it's chowders as being the best. I had the haddock chowder and it was loaded with... More

I've ordered out from Cappys three times now and every single time, my experience has been beyond incredible! The last two times I went, I got the same thing. The Burger My Way & I did mushroom and Swiss. Both times this burger has been the best burger I've ever had. The mushrooms are fresh and the hamburger is cooked... More

I recommend the lobster roll, the seafood stew and the baked stuffed haddock. Very good presentation and competitively priced. I am not fond of their clam chowder recipe and there are just too many pieces of potato. The seafood stew is a better alternative and is not loaded down with potato.

I wanted to check out the new portion of Cappy's since they bought out the Village Restaurant. While I was sorry to see the old restaurant go away, Cappy's did fill in quite nicely. The food was very good, and there was a nice view of the harbor.
