Everyone raves about the chowder, it's definitely homemade, but not really anything I would come back for, and I love chowder. The portions were small, the fried scallops in my fisherman's were really good, all three of them, the six tiny native shrimp were also good but there were 6 of them. The fried haddock was also very flavorful, but... More

We've been here many times and enjoyed the ambiance and friendly service. The food is delicious and the drinks are better! Lovely seaside pub/tavern!

Camden's version of the infamous Boston watering hole. Stopping in here you're likely to find some locals hanging out. You should be able to catch a New England sports team in the bar area. Several different choices of seating arrangements are available. Food is pretty typical of a sports bar with seafood offerings too. Stop in and feel welcomed like... More

The inside just couldn't be more old tavern type of a place. Real dark and rustic and a cozy place to be on a cold snowy night. I've tried the chowder twice now and just don't find it to my liking but that's just me. Still looking forward to trying something different next time.

Cappy's is truly an eatery every visitor to Camden needs to experience. The food is good. The most important truth about Cappy's is they're reliable. During the winter months, when so many restaurants and shops close for the season, Cappy's is open. And, some restaurants may remain open, but shorten their hours. Others may also post winter hours, but close... More

We discovered Cappy's Chowder House recently and were pleased by our experience. The pub food and chowder were great, and the service was quick and friendly. We even got a window seat looking at the ocean.
