Great food, beer and atmosphere but the only thing missing is being able to sit outside and enjoy the usually nice weather whenever I visit Camden. I went round the corner to Cappy's General Store after my lunch and sat out the back of the store with a coffee and a pastry.

The ambiance and the staff were outstanding. The food was freshly prepared and reasonably priced -- the fish chowder was really good - the clam chowder disappointing.

My friend and I stopped here on a recent trip to Maine. It was a picture perfect day with a light snow falling and Cappy's beautiful Christmas decorations caught our eye. Inside was warm and inviting, service friendly and the food good. My friend had the chowder and a salad with shrimp and I (vegetarian) had the pasta bowl with... More

Over 20+ years I've eaten at Cappy's a half dozen times, mostly quite enjoyable. Seafood has been consistently good, service always above average. The chowder slipped a bit during our last visit: unremarkable, clams were a bit tough. I'd dine there again but ask about their chef's specialties next time.

A family friendly, casual, recently renovated restaurant, with great chowder and many seafood items on the menu, as well as daily specials and light fare. Great views of Camden Harbor. Service is good, and we are especially fond of the manager, David !!

We've been going to Camden for years, but for some reason haven't stopped in at Cappy's which has been around for a long time. Stopped in on Thanksgiving Eve for a light bite. They have Alagash White on draft. A nice pile of fresh mussels in a Provencal sauce which could have used a bit more fennel and white wine... More

We were passing through this town and heard this was THE place to go. As soon as we walked in we enquired about the specials. The waitress who was finishing her shift went backdoors to ask about it then explained to us what they were and we ordered some drinks accordingly. The new server informed that we were not entitled... More

Always reliable. Can be tough to get in during busy summer months but well worth it when you do. We love Cappys in the off season just as much. Delicious chowder and great happy hour prices!! You feel like one of the locals and are treated as such.

One of the best chowders we have had. A good view of the harbor and excellent lobster rolls. Friendly staff and quick service.
