Everything I heard or read was true!

I work nearby so I treat myself to a fried scallop dinner three or four times a summer here. The scallops are always fresh and perfectly prepared. Cole Slaw and fries and the bill comes out to about $17 - a bargain considering how expensive scallops are now. Meals are always great and it's always a very short wait. The... More

We had seen its great rating and were planning to hike in the Camden Hills State Park, so we planned for lunch there. The lobster roll and haddock sandwich were great, but the onion rings are maybe the best I have had. Another required stop in Camden.

First of all, the food is terrific! The Haddock sandwich is amazing, and that 'Chowdah' is an award-winner! Really - I understand that it wins the Chowder Contest every year at the local Labor Day festivities! There are fancier choices in Camden, but any true Foodie will be more than happy that they stopped here!

Just after the Camden National Park and camp grounds, this roadside shack turns out burgers and dogs, seafood, and ice cream. We went for dinner and dessert. If you want anything to drink beyond a frappe or house made iced tea, there are two side machines. The dinner menu is decently sized, and tasty. Portions are decent. We both got... More

This is a convenient place to eat on the road just outside the entrance to Mount Battie. You would only be interested in going here on a clear day in conjunction with a drive or walk to the mountain top. The burgers, fish and ice cream are very high quality. Prices are very reasonable. This is not a fast food... More

We own a summer home in Camden and have eaten out at many restaurants. After seeing the Take Out ranked Number 1 among restaurants in Camden we just had to eat there. The food was good. The lobster roll I had was definitely the best ever, except for the first one I had over fifty years ago. My son had... More

We stopped here because it was rated #1 for lobster rolls. Must have been an off day because my lobster roll was not memorable. The roll was soggy and wet and the lobster was not fresh and sweet. Tasted like it had been made with frozen lobster. My husband ordered the crab roll and at first he thought the crab... More

After reading the TA reviews my wife were looking forward to trying it for lunch. It was a disappointment, at best. We had gone for the lobster roll and crab roll. The lobster roll had little to no taste, was mushy and had a lot of liquid that soaked into the roll to make is wet. The crab roll had... More

Amazingly good food. We've eaten here twice for lunch and been delighted with the high quality of the food. The lobster roll was way better than most and the fried clams were definitely the best I've ever eaten.
