I am not talking of the decor that is impressive but the quality of food. We had the springs rolls, the steamed mussels (we hate the mussels and the broth). Finish with the beef mansaman. It was a pure delice. It is a very small restaurant and next time I will make a reservation because it is always busy.

We ate dinner in this modest little restaurant and it was excellent. It was obvious from the clientele that this is where many of the locals come to eat or pick up carry out. The menu provides a wide range of choices, and many of the choices are unique. Service was friendly and timely.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The greens are always fresh and the portions are huge! The spring rolls are seasoned perfectly with fresh basil and mint. However, you must make a reservation no matter what day or time you want to go.

We had lunch at Long Grain - wow, what a disappointment after reading so many great reviews. The only standout dish was a mussel appetizer, with a spicy broth that was truly memorable. The steamed pork dumplings were bland at best. The two entrees were totally forgettable and uninspired. There were only a couple of folks dining at lunch the... More

The service was a bit slow getting started since the waitress also hosts and buses. But once she took our order, it did not take long and appreciated having the chef deliver the entrees. Food never disappoints but missed the small touch of having the rocks to rest the chop sticks on. Very loud.

Long Grain is tiny, about 25-30 seats in all, but the well-priced and tasty pan-Asian food is well worth a visit. And if you can't get a table, order something to take out and eat at home or for a picnic in one of Camden/Rockport's pleasant parks. We often just get the appetizers and "graze" among the different, enticing Asian... More

I live right around the corner from Long Grain. We eat there several times a year and it is consistently excellent - every item, every day, all year. I guess that explains why it is always busy even in the middle of winter in Maine. Highly recommended by a local.

My wife and I arrived at our B&B in Camden, Maine and were asking about local spots to eat. The Long Grain was suggested but we were advised to get reservations. Even though we did not have reservations we thought we would check it out. They had a table for two so we were set. The food was wonderful. We... More

Small restaurant and limited menu. Flavors are nice, a bit hit or miss. A couple of dishes we had where very salty. Biggest issue is service at this restaurant. Like many reviewers mentioned already, the don't seem to care that much. Almost arrogant and indifferent. Make sure to have a reservation, the restaurant is really small and fills up fast.
