Located in the century-old Knox Mill, our bistro is situated on top of the Megunticook River, just between the two waterfalls. At Brevetto, our modern Italian bistro cuisine is designed to pair perfectly with our extensive– and almost exclusively Italian– wine list. Brevetto is Italian for “patent,” and throughout the restaurant you will find turn-of-the-century schematics of wine presses and odd, out-dated food machines. In stark contrast to the complicated workings of a “salami washing machine,” our menu is simple and straightforward. We feature a large menu with a range of grilled pizzas, Italian pastas, and a variety of entrées. In addition to our extensive wine list, we also have a full bar with artisan draft beers and liquors. Enjoy your dinner in our inviting dining room, or on our waterfront deck. Relax with an obscure Italian red wine at our bar, or an extra-dry gin martini on the leather sofa. Brevetto has some of the best of both worlds, right in downtown Camden.

Very good food. Deserves better than 18th ranking in Camden!!

I just went to "40 Paper" for dinner. This is probably my 4th time at that restaurant. I do not understand the bad reviews some people are giving as it has been constantly good. The restaurant even though it is not located on the main street or by the water, so you do not have the view... read more

We enjoyed arriving early in the evening and sitting at the bar. The drinks were inventive and quite good! The bartender was kind enough to get us a table, as we had not made reservations. When we sat, we had an amicable waiter who made knowledgeable wine recommendations. We ordered the stuffed artichokes and the arugula salad as appetizers. Both... More

This is the number one spot to be for happy hour. Bartenders have an astounding knowledge of unusual and rare drinks. They have many creative cocktails that are typically addictive! Appetizers during happy hour are just the right size and very attractively priced. Be sure to sit or stand in the bar area to get happy hour pricing

An Italian couple told us, "If you want great Italian food, go to Italy. If you can't go to Italy, go to 40 Paper. I'm glad we took their advice, as we had a great experience at this restaurant this past Friday night. This is not your usual Italian restaurant with lots of marina-sauced chicken parmesan and lasagnas or veal... More

My husband and I have dined at 40 Paper on four separate occasions over the last two years. Last year, we spent my 40th birthday at the bar with the best bartender, Garrett. This season, we attempted the restaurant twice. On Saturday night, we dined at the bar. We had an amazing meal, but the bartender was sub-par. She attends... More

This place is fantastic! It is not on the water, but the food makes up for any lack of harbour views. I had the best calamari salad ever and I live on the coast in Maine. Our waiter was attentive and explained about the restaurant's name. you will have to go to find out for yourself. We had cocktails and... More

Pleasant room - nice waitress - GREAT PASTA. The owner/manager (?) was stand-offish but that didn't stop us from having a wonderful meal. They also boast an attractive outdoor patio on a warm night. Back to the apps - the char on the tentacles of the squid was delicious but the cannelloni beans done in a beurre blanc sauce beneath... More

The bartender, Wynn (sp?), is a great guy, knows his drinks, and can talk about anything. The place is hopping with people to meet. Many exotic and delicious drinks. We ate the bar food, not dinner, but each of 5 dishes was excellent. Probably the best risotto that we've ever had!

Made a stop on our way through and had a great time and meal. An atmosphere I would call a mix fine dining and local pub, was a great spot, good meal, decent beer selection, shared a flight.
