Located in the century-old Knox Mill, our bistro is situated on top of the Megunticook River, just between the two waterfalls. At Brevetto, our modern Italian bistro cuisine is designed to pair perfectly with our extensive– and almost exclusively Italian– wine list. Brevetto is Italian for “patent,” and throughout the restaurant you will find turn-of-the-century schematics of wine presses and odd, out-dated food machines. In stark contrast to the complicated workings of a “salami washing machine,” our menu is simple and straightforward. We feature a large menu with a range of grilled pizzas, Italian pastas, and a variety of entrées. In addition to our extensive wine list, we also have a full bar with artisan draft beers and liquors. Enjoy your dinner in our inviting dining room, or on our waterfront deck. Relax with an obscure Italian red wine at our bar, or an extra-dry gin martini on the leather sofa. Brevetto has some of the best of both worlds, right in downtown Camden.

WOW !!

Planned on trying 40 Paper for a long time now and finally got there. Was thrilled to find excellent service and fantastic food. The pasta was so fresh and tasty. The calamari appetizer was cooked to perfection and more than plenty for one person. The steak was also cooked perfectly and delicious... read more

If you see a solo female traveler sit at your bar she is likely looking to eat. I walked into 40 Paper while on business and sat at the bar with the intention of eating. I ordered a drink, waited a while to get it I then asked for a menu and was informed they were really busy and could... More

This time I brought my boyfriend along so he could enjoy a great meal. The service was still wonderful as was the food and ambiance - especially the music! We started with the artichoke hearts stuffed with goat cheese and prosciutto, as well as the braised pork belly with romesco sauce. The pork belly was absolutely terrific - tender, delicious,... Get here early because all the townies are usually packing the place, especially all the part-time carpenters. Great drink values comfortable, friendly staff, quick and efficient service. Most importantly cold cold beers and a good wine selection.

The meal was excellent, really well done and well thought out menu and dishes. Mussels, arancini, ravioli in sage brown butter sauce, gnocci, Fedellini with sweet and sour meatballs, right down to the compound butter for the warm bread, all delectable. The service was also super professional, pleasant, and down to earth. Nice wine list with a deliciously dry viognier,... More

My boyfriend and I went for happy hour, and it did not disappoint! Great good at an INCREDIBLE value. Some of the best Brussels sprouts I've ever had!

Food was amazing. It was a little noisy as it is a fairly small restaurant. Service was very good as well. Will return if we are back in the area.

We were invited by friends to explore 40 Paper. It has been getting Great Happy Hour reviews so there was lots of noise from the bar area. Unfortunately, it spilled over uncomfortably into the dining area. The pace of the dinner experience was unacceptably slow: • 15 minutes to get a table (after the reservation time) • 20 more minutes... More

We've enjoyed several dinners at 40 Paper since they opened a number of years ago. The drinks are generous and well prepared; the food is interesting, and elegant without being fussy. The service very good; low key and attentive to details without being intrusive. We consider the prices moderate and the value good. We look forward to going each time... More
