Located in the century-old Knox Mill, our bistro is situated on top of the Megunticook River, just between the two waterfalls. At Brevetto, our modern Italian bistro cuisine is designed to pair perfectly with our extensive– and almost exclusively Italian– wine list. Brevetto is Italian for “patent,” and throughout the restaurant you will find turn-of-the-century schematics of wine presses and odd, out-dated food machines. In stark contrast to the complicated workings of a “salami washing machine,” our menu is simple and straightforward. We feature a large menu with a range of grilled pizzas, Italian pastas, and a variety of entrées. In addition to our extensive wine list, we also have a full bar with artisan draft beers and liquors. Enjoy your dinner in our inviting dining room, or on our waterfront deck. Relax with an obscure Italian red wine at our bar, or an extra-dry gin martini on the leather sofa. Brevetto has some of the best of both worlds, right in downtown Camden.

The surprise of our most recent trip to Camden turned out to be the former felt mill 40 Paper. Reservations were made and are advised. This is not the Italian Bistro style restaurant you are familiar with...spaghetti, meatballs, chicken parmesan, cutlets etc. Offerings are far more upscale, yet affordable. If you enjoy a different cocktail experience, their extensive drink menu... More

40 Paper was recommended to us by friends who found the italian-style menu, wine list, and ambiance to be inviting and rewarding. We found all of these to be true on the Sunday evening we decided to dine. The menu encompassed the fare found in similar, upscale restaurants with twists in their preparation. The ravioli came with what tasted as... More

We were here last summer and twice in one week this summer for happy hour. It's great. Half-price drinks (the margaritas are excellent) and appetizers, all $5 each. The thin, flatbread pizzas are wonderful and enough for a meal for one, as were other appetizers, including Brussel sprouts and risotto. We sat outdoors and talked with a lovely couple. Will... Celebrated a birthday for someone in our party. We were seated quickly. Our waitress offered suggestions to signature cocktails, offered us time to make a decision and returned for our order. Wine list not very vast. Appetizers took more than 30 minutes to receive. Each person ordered a different meal, 3 of us ordered the small portion. However, small is... More

A happy, cheer filled spot for happy hour or dinner. This place is lively and seems to be the spot to go for happy hour. They know their beers and wines. They have unique cocktail offerings.

Our hosts at Maine Stay Inn recommended this restaurant as a change from all the seafood we had indulged in and we were so glad that they did. The bar was very lively and they know their beers and wines when asked for suggestions. The dinner portions could have been a bit larger as my husband wound up with a... More

We arrived after 9:00pm to find the restaurant closed but were offered a seat in the bar where we could order from their menu. We ordered a couple of small plates each and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Great, lively spot.
