Located in the century-old Knox Mill, our bistro is situated on top of the Megunticook River, just between the two waterfalls. At Brevetto, our modern Italian bistro cuisine is designed to pair perfectly with our extensive– and almost exclusively Italian– wine list. Brevetto is Italian for “patent,” and throughout the restaurant you will find turn-of-the-century schematics of wine presses and odd, out-dated food machines. In stark contrast to the complicated workings of a “salami washing machine,” our menu is simple and straightforward. We feature a large menu with a range of grilled pizzas, Italian pastas, and a variety of entrées. In addition to our extensive wine list, we also have a full bar with artisan draft beers and liquors. Enjoy your dinner in our inviting dining room, or on our waterfront deck. Relax with an obscure Italian red wine at our bar, or an extra-dry gin martini on the leather sofa. Brevetto has some of the best of both worlds, right in downtown Camden.

Happy Hour!

Happy hour is 4-6 pm. Don't miss it. There are interesting cocktails to try and some delicious appetizers. It's one block off the main street, so you can relax on the outdoor patio.

The place is nice enough but Wind Tracy, the bar manager has been rude every time I've been in. It turns out the owner of the place knows the manager's reputation for being abrasive but doesn't seem to care. I live locally and will never go back there again.

Visited twice and enjoyed it both times! Great cocktails & delightful food BUT leave room for the amazing deserts! Happy hour is when the place really hums: half price drinks & tasty bar food at reduced prices & portion size.

It's a suitable venue only for younger people wishing to meet for drinks. The ever-so-modern decor and pretentiously-worded menu can't disguise the slapped together dishes and indifferent service.

When great atmosphere and great food are joined together you have a winner. Although we have lived part time on this part of the Maine coast for a number of years, we have never eaten at 40 Paper. Not getting there sooner was certainly our loss! We had a large group of people (12) and the staff did a beautiful... More

We visited with our son & his wife from San Francisco. They made reservations for 6:30pm but we arrived at 5pm to enjoy "happy Hour". We loved the $5 appetizers and shared Calamari, stuffed artichokes and carpaccio. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and meeting other patrons. We tried some of the drink specials and loved the 1/2 price deal. When... More

Great ambience, very tasty, bistro-style fare, great building - a converted paper mill - and nicely "off the beaten track" , so not too touristy.

All you really to know about the happy hour scene in Camden is 40 Paper. All drinks are half priced between 4PM and 6PM with a variety of appetizers priced at $5. During our 3 night stay in the Camden area, we stopped in 3 times for happy hour – consider that a recommendation. Happy hour has become more popular... More

This place is fabulous for cocktails during happy hour! I love the Honey Lemon Drop! They have a deeply discounted happy hour with 1/2 price drinks and appetizers. The cocktail menu is wonderful and the small plates of appetizers are tasty. The service is very slow, probably to ensure that you only get in a few drinks during happy hour?!... More

My wife and I went for happy hour where all drinks were half price s well as all appetizers. We had wine, Hard Cider and two delicious flat bread pizzas. Calamari and Beet salad. Going for happy hour is definitely worth the walk. Based on the quality of the flat breads, I imagine that dinner would be excellent too.
