A fine restaurant integrates attention to detail regarding food quality, presentation, service, background music, and atmosphere. The Hartstone Inn did a fabulous job of attending to all of these details when my wife and I went there for dinner. Our special evening started with our hostess, who was so thoughtful and had a delightful air of mystery about her as... More

The location is lovely. We went because it was rated #1 on Tripadvisor. The location is lovely. The food was just ok; cream in every dish - the filet of fish was fried and then bathed in a creamy sauce - welcome back to the 70s. The souffle was excellent although the 'magic' was helped along by leavening agents and... More

My husband was kind enough to send my sisters, mother and I out for dinner. The drinks were great and dinner was amazing. I appreciated not having to choose the menu, but instead enjoyed each course as it was served. I have always loved visiting Camden and Hartstone Inn is a wonderful compliment.

After booking a romantic getaway to the Hartstone Inn, my husband and I decided to sign-up for a cooking class that was being offered during the weekend of our stay. What better way to celebrate Maine than a cooking class dedicated to lobster? This was one of the best cooking [demonstration] classes I’ve ever experienced. Everything was delicious, from the... If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, you must visit the Hartstone Inn in Camden, Maine. The restaurant features fine dining with a French influence. For the full experience, stay overnight so you can experience the breakfast which is included in your room price. The baked banana French toast was a sweet delight. The next course, a smoked salmon... More

Most restaurants in the area are quiet off season so we decided to try the Inn on a Thursday night in April. The diningroom was full with locals and visitors. The atmosphere is gracious and relaxing and the staff is attentive and friendly. The 5 course dinner was incredible. The best we have had in the area and we have... More

Just celebrated our anniversary at the Hartstone Inn this past weekend. The Loft Room was incredible -- terrific bed, skylight, gas fireplace, bathroom large enough to spread your toiletry bags out in (usually not the case). Had the 5-course dinner the second night and couldn't have been more pleased - amazing butternut squash risotto with lobster. A very reasonable wine... More

My husband and I had the five course dinner here in March, and it was incredible. It was probably one of the best meals either of us have ever had! The ambiance was also great; it wasn't too crowded and the staff was very friendly. Eat here!
