Delicious food, great service, so convenient when staying at the Inn

It's not often that you stay at an inn in the same town as you have a home, but that home had just been sold and cleared out and we needed a place to lay our heads for the night. The Hartstone Inn was open (this was in March) so we decided to spend the night. We thought, while we... More

We happened to be in Camden during Maine restaurant week and the Hartstone Inn was participating with a special pre-fixe menu -3 courses for $35.00. It was worth every dollar!! We started with a delicious pea soup and a duck and onion tart. We usually order different entrees so we can "taste" each others but the roasted cod with lobster... More

This was our first visit to this restaurant, and the quality of the food, the balance of flavor profiles, and the care we received from everyone on the staff will have us returning for many meals. The chef's attention to detail was incredible, and the service was personal and spot on. We ended up having their Maine Restaurant Week tasting... More

If you want world class food without the stuffy feel of fancy restaurants, this is your place! Elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere combined with excellent food and wonderful service left us not wanting the meal to end!

We enjoyed Date Night at The Hartstone Inn and the food was absolutely wonderful. The service was good, but not great. A few awkward moments at the beginning as we hoped to have a cocktail before dinner but there was no place to sit. Hostess made our drinks but didn't invite us to sit down in the bar room (which... Of all of the things we looked forward to for our weekend away in Camden it was Chef Michael's cuisine. The 5 course chef's tasting menu was as delicious as during our last visit. Chef Michael brings his well traveled experience to the plate and puts a tasty twist to traditional favorites. The piece that is obvious is that the... More

It was a cold clear weekend and we decided to pick a well reviewed place in Camden. Chose the Hartstone Inn. Like most of Camden the Hartstone was decorated for the holidays. Only one other couple were there when we arrived at 6:30 but the room filled as the evening went on. The service and ambiance were were great. The... More

We had been to the Hartstone Inn before and decided it would be the ideal place to celebrate our anniversary. We were so right. Everything about the setting and meal was perfection. I loved having cocktails in the parlor while our table was readied. Our servers (I think there were three) were efficient without being intrusive. Each course was equally... More

We found our stay on November 14th - 16th at the Hartstone inn in Camden Maine delightful. The food was fabulous, the room was excellent, and the staff were warm and caring. This was a birthday gift, one that I will never forget. We also signed up for the Chef of the Day and found Michael Salmon personable, knowledgeable, and... More
