A great dinning experience

Interested in really good fine dinning? The Hartstone Inn restaurant will make that happen. A great place for a quiet dinner for two or 5 or less. The wine selection is outstanding. This dinning experience will not disappoint you at all.

Our food and stay here was fabulous! Of our 10 day, 3 city east coast trip (including high end restaurants in Boston), this small non-pretentious inn offered the best and most innovative dinner.

We had the 4 course tasting menu, which featured sole. Every course was outstanding. The wine selection was good with reasonable prices. The atmosphere was quiet and intimate. The attire is resort casual.

Staying at the Hartstone, we had the benefit of experiencing five wonderful breakfasts at the Hartstone. We looked forward to the event each day and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The hosts are super friendly and make this a unique experience.

We were staying at the Hartstone but only had Breakfast which comes with the room. If you want gourmet breakfasts, this is the place to come. We were visiting with family so did not have dinner here but I'm sure it would have been delicious. We will definitely try the next time we are in Maine

Best meal of the week. Each of us had the prix fixe dinner. Everything was excellent. Sole was soooooo good. Service could not have been any better. All food was prepared perfectly. Atmosphere was wonderful as we celebrated our anniversary.

This is a wonderful restaurant and such a find in the area. We chose the Chef's tasting menu and each course was memorable. From the lobster ravioli to the wonderful salad to the main course of sole with an absolutely divine sauce finished with blueberry/almond soufflés (and a great bottle of Sauvignon Blanc), everything was first rate. Don't miss an... More

It poured again. What a night. Just buckets fell from the sky. But a good might to share a meal with friends and no pressure to run to the theater. The six of us arrived at 6:30 and were seated promptly. They offer a set menu of appetizer, salad, main course and dessert or you can order a la carte.... More

The food is outstanding and the service is extraordinary. The seating is limited so one needs to make reservations in advance. The chef changes the menu weekly. There are à la cart selections, as well as, a tasting menu. They were very accommodating with substitutions as my wife has a gluten-free allergy. The fillet of sole was exquisite. The lobster...
