Camden has become a mecca for foodies and the Hartstone stands out. We opted for the a la carte menu and enjoyed varying creative dishes, some very good wines, and attentive service in a cozy elegant room.

One reason we chose to stay at the inn was because of the high ratings for the restaurant, and they are well-deserved. Food was very good and I see why the chef/part owner has written two popular cookbooks and escorts "foodie" trips to Spain, France and Italy. The dining room is cozy and intimate.

Whatever food selection it is that you order, rest assured that the taste will be superb and it will have been prepared with top quality ingredients and exacting culinary expertise. Love the lobster ver Blanc. Wonderful soups and salads. Excellent meat dishes. Soufflés not to miss. Service is great. And, when you reserve just let them know if someone in... More

a lovely place to dine while in Camden. Small dining room with only about 10 tables overlooking a charming garden. There is another small interior room with 4 or 5 tables but in the summer everyone wants the garden view so book early. Totally delicious food and good service makes this a memorable place in Camden.

We made a reservation for 4 three weeks before we arrived It was confirmed by the restaurant. We got there at the assigned time and stood at the desk for 20 minutes without acknowledgement. During that time the hostess was running back and forth and, although she saw us,she did not greet us. My husband went to track her down... More

Book early. There is a reason this is #1 in Camden. Whenever we go to Camden, we eat a dinner here. Food is always fresh and well prepared. Michael is not only a great chef, he's also very friendly. If you stay here, you will likely see him serving breakfast. If you want to learn some of his technique, take... More

This place is simply remarkable. My wife and I loved every inch of it, every morsel we downed, and every time we spoke with staff. The food is world class, including their special drinks. Breakfast? You'll never find one again as fabulous. We had the Chef's tasting menu at night, and it filled us up with magnificent cousine. The place... More

The most accommodating place I have ever stayed a must get-a-way for couples of any age. A bed and breakfast that you have been looking for. Chef owned means particular attention is paid to the food also. The whole staff is great, smiles on all.

Great food, attention to detail, very clean, interns give it an international flavor. Enjoyed our suite in their hideaway across the street from the main building.
