they have great fried fish here and crispy french fries. My wife had the haddock and I had the shrimp. It was very presentable and good to look at.

The hubs and I took a drive up just to check out the Calais area. We stopped and Yancy's for lunch, and split a buffalo chicken pizza. Oh. My. Goodness. We asked for extra jalapenos, which they provided, and the pizza was hot, gooey and delicious. This was without a doubt one of the best pizzas we've ever had and... More

This is a nice place with the second best pizza I've had in north America. I highly recommend this place. Getting a good pizza in Canada and New England has been quite hard for me the European, but this place fixed that in a heartbeat.

Yancy's has an extensive menu, and most of the offerings are very good to excellent. Service can be slow in peak periods, and there is a short wait for a table sometimes as well. Had the best hamburger I have eaten all summer here in Downeast Maine, cooked to perfection as was my partner's and we both like them done at opposite ends of the spectrum. Food was served in a timely fashion by dedicated server. Staff makes you feel welcome and... More

The food is good enough but aside from the pizza (too much garlic and I love garlic) the food was pretty ordinary. We would eat there agin but never make a special trip.

Didn't eat in...cant talk much about ambiance.decided to take out and enjoy Summer Down East scenery..... Greeted with warm friendly welcome. Fresh tasting Haddock wowing-amazing batter.... Yummy crispy fries..... Serving of slaw a bit skimpy, though -let them know folks. Order was ready on less than 15 mins... piping hot! Worth the stop before leaving North St Calais or heading... I always seek out the local, independent places when travelling or at home, instead of the franchise chain places that cater to the Holiday Inn - show me the same thing no matter where I am set - and sometimes I'm rewarded for my derring-do, and sometimes not. We tried a place up the road for our late lunch first,... More
