While staying nearby, we were looking for a decent dinner out. We found it at Yancy's. We had the raved-about pizza, and as my husband's a native New Yorker, we found it to be OK. Trouble is that we've been spoked by The Cabin in Bath, Maine, which is among the best pizza we've had ANYWHERE. But I digress. Service... More

Got off the road after the long drive from Bangor airport, tired and hungry. Got the SMALL portion fish and chips, the husband got the turkey and dressing, everybody around us was getting the pizza. We were in heaven. My haddock was perfect, hot and crispy on the outside, moist and yummy on the inside, same for the chips. My... More

they have great fried fish here and crispy french fries. My wife had the haddock and I had the shrimp. It was very presentable and good to look at.

The hubs and I took a drive up just to check out the Calais area. We stopped and Yancy's for lunch, and split a buffalo chicken pizza. Oh. My. Goodness. We asked for extra jalapenos, which they provided, and the pizza was hot, gooey and delicious. This was without a doubt one of the best pizzas we've ever had and... More

This is a nice place with the second best pizza I've had in north America. I highly recommend this place. Getting a good pizza in Canada and New England has been quite hard for me the European, but this place fixed that in a heartbeat.

Yancy's has an extensive menu, and most of the offerings are very good to excellent. Service can be slow in peak periods, and there is a short wait for a table sometimes as well. The restaurant is fairly new (a couple of years old), and the parking lot is (finally) paved. Note that when the restaurant is full, the parking... More

Loved dining at the pub tables as there was more elbow room. Had the best hamburger I have eaten all summer here in Downeast Maine, cooked to perfection as was my partner's and we both like them done at opposite ends of the spectrum. Food was served in a timely fashion by dedicated server. Staff makes you feel welcome and... More
