Fun atmosphere, great service and very good food.

We had dinner at the Frontier Cafe on a Friday night. The place was very busy. I'd suggest reservations. The server was exceptional, glad to offer advice, knew the menu and beverage offerings well and offered helpful advice. The Maine potato fries were a wonderful shared entree. We had lunch at the Frontier Cafe on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was crowded but we were able to walk in and be seated immediately. In retrospect, this is a place where reservations should be made in advance. The fish sandwich is very highly recommended - it is a lightly fried piece of cod served with the most incredible... We have been visiting the Frontier Cafe for quite some time as it is near where we live. It seems the last 3 times we have been more and more disappointed. They have removed most of our favorite items from the menu. Our last visit the only favorite left was the fish and chips. My husband and I both ordered... More

We heard great reviews for this place, but it didn’t live up to our expectations. Falafel were fresh, but texture was wrong. The tomato-saffron soup special was overspiced with something neither of us could identify. The mussels were also strangely flavored. Moroccan Vegetable Napoleon was ok, though the kale with it was really tough. My date’s fancy drink (I forget... More

We enjoy evenings here. The food is fine, nice selection of wines. As has been said besides being a good eatery for couples, families, friends the art work and entertainment just add to fun and enjoyment of an evening here,

Been here several times and never gotten a bad dish or service. Frontier is unique in that it equally is acceptable for families, friends, and dates alike. The decor is breathtaking, both in natural beauty as well as the cute (and often thought-provoking) art they hang in their ample dining space. The menu offers dishes not found elsewhere in Southern... More

A unique place in an old factory building that combines an art gallery, a cinema for independent movies, and a terrific meal. We have eaten there a few times and had not had a bad meal yet. Also, try any signature cocktail they recommend!

Such great potential! The Frontier Café, set in an old Brunswick, ME mill, offers just incredible atmosphere with really nice water views. This is a unique restaurant which also features art exhibitions and even a small theater. Nice! However, bottom line for me, this café is just way too expensive and it has a very limited menu! For example, there... More

1st time visit we decided on a couple appetizers & beverages. Hubby & I tried both types of french fries & the grilled caesar salad. Both were delicious, but was a bit surprised at the salad size & that chicken did not come with the $11 salad. Bartenders were very friendly & we enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant.

Restaurant itself is beautiful. Fun space and excellent location. Unfortunately, neither food nor service was very good. Soup took 15 minutes and was lukewarm. Jerk chicken taco- chicken way over done: actually crunched like cinders. Curry overwhelmed mussels and was too salty. The burger was good, but a bit dry. Food took forever. Noticed people leaving seats and approaching bartender... More
