I like the creative vibe I felt as soon as I arrived. It is a great combo of hip (it also is a gallery and sometimes shows movies) and historic in an old mill building with high ceilings and a sense of past. The menu has great vegetarian options, but also plenty of delicious things for carnivores too. The Frontier... More

This place is difficult to locate, but so worth the effort to get there. There is an old warehouse by the river and this restaurant is located in the back of the building. I had the Middle Eastern Marketplate - and ate every last bit of what was put in front of me. The only problem I had at this... More

I visited this restaurant with my husband while we were visiting my brother who lives in Brunswick. I ordered the Coffee Short Rib with Kale and my husband had the Cioppino. My Short Rib was excellent one of the better versions of this dish I have had. My husband's Cioppino was good but not exceptional. It came with rice and... More

Frontier was a great experience. The space itself has a great vibe, in an old mill, lots of memorabilia, compelling photographs on the walls, super window light. We had a large group with people coming in from around the area. The folks at Frontier gave us a private room towards the back. The food was exceptional - an outstanding fish... More

This was recommended to us by a local who said the food and drinks were awesome. He wasn't lying. The food was delicious. The best fish and chips I've ever had. Their batter is insane! Crispy and crunchy with a really nice flavor. Our server, Andy, was great. He was really friendly and gave us some good suggestions. (I always... More

We were looking for a good meal on our last night in Maine and Frontier was perfect. From the outside, it is in a huge converted textile mill and we were wondering what were getting ourselves into. After wandering through the building to the back, we come to the restaurant. Wow. We had the Frontier Mule (Moscow Mule with Beet... More

Good atmosphere, good food - would definitely recommend. Probably a little overpriced but I loved my Mediterranean plate. We had our 1 year old with us but I would probably rather come back for a date night.

Great food, great atmosphere, great decor! There were also many great local options! I love The Mozz sandwich and their handcut, thincut fries are to die for! The homemade pickle that comes with the meal is also fantastic!

We had dinner at the Frontier Cafe on a Friday night. The place was very busy. I'd suggest reservations. The server was exceptional, glad to offer advice, knew the menu and beverage offerings well and offered helpful advice. The Maine potato fries were a wonderful shared entree. The fish and chips plate with sweet potato fries contained a huge portion... More
