This restaurant was difficult to find the entrance to. Once we were finally inside we liked the high ceilings & the art on the walls, old factory/industrial feel. It was dusk so we did have a nice view of the sunset. But it was very loud inside despite there only being a few patrons there. Service was very slow on... More

Frontier is at the end of a labrynthine passage in Fort Andross, but it's worth the walk. The interesting dining room has a very nice river view. The vibe is college town earnest hipster. The waitstaff were very nice. We started off with an excellent Negroni, a delightfully spicy Bloody Mary and a couple of glasses of wine. We all... More

My bad for not writing a(nother) glowing review sooner. Truth is my wife and I come here often - for the ambiance [stunning space], for the [always] outstanding and friendly service, and above all for the food [always delicious, always plentiful, always reasonably priced]. To sum it up; Frontier is a very VERY special place served, owned, and operated by... More

Housed in a converted textile mill along the Androscoggin River in Brunswick, the cafe has wonderful views of the dam and waterfall that match its great food and beer selection. For the purposes of a wedding reception, the space is great because it is open with lots of flexible space for tables, dancing, standing chatting, etc. The food was top... More

And surprisingly great at each. Menu choices are unique and ingredients are local and fresh. Very good selection of local beers and well stocked bar. The view looking over the dam and the Androscoggin is great. All or our meals here have been excellent. My wife and I had the shaved steak sandwich tonight-scrumptious!

Located in a former Textile Mill along the Androscoggin River. Look out the window to see the dam & water crashing over the rocks. Spectacular. Interior is very unique - wonderful. A casual stroll from the main entrance of the old mill to the door of the restaurant. Bold wooden tables, benches and seats (bring a pad for softer seating). Menu has enough variety to meet most dietary needs. Foods portions on the larger side with a balance of flavors. Most ingredients are locally sourced and fresh. The staff is friendly,... More

It is hard to find a restaurant that caters to people that have Gluten allergies. My friends and I were visiting in Brunswick, Maine and decided to try this place out since it was right down the street from where we were staying. I was so excited to get to order GF calamari and fish and chips. They were some... More

Thank you for sharing your review. The old mill is a bit of a labyrinth, but hopefully the adventure was worth it. We hope to see you again. More

The river view and fresh food at this cafe is so terrific we went back again the next day! New definition for fish & chips: absolutely fresh cod, with a thin rice flour batter, sauteed in olive oil = seafood so delightfully crispy and light that I only ate 3 fries. My husband's bacon burger and salad were excellent, as... More
