Awesome food. An unusual but delectable take on a tuna melt and seriously good grilled cheese and garlic bread.

We had a nice hearty dinner here. The food was heavy on the starch but delicious; we both had pasta dishes as that seemed to be the "thing." Yummy big meal with delicious tiramisu dessert. I wish the hostess had asked us which part of the restaurant we wanted to sit in. They have seats outside, nice seating inside and... More

They had a very good draft beer selection but the food and atmosphere was average. My wife ate here about 4 years ago and remembered it as being excellent - fresh with lots of variety - so we were disappointed by the standard soup, sandwich, chip, basic entree menu. We had hope it would be a special place but instead... More

We arrived very late for dinner while en route to Portland. Having had very good previous experience at this restaurant, we decided to see if they were still serving dinner. We were greeted at the door (at 8:45) and, after inquiring how late the kitchen would be open, were pleasantly informed that the kitchen usually closed at 9:00, but that... More

My wife had told me about how great the food is at this place. The Alfa sprout sandwich brought back great memories for my wife. I enjoyed the local farm raised beef, hamburger!

This family owned and run restaurant has never let us down. The food is carefully prepared with the freshest of ingredients. The choice of soup each day can't be beat. The staff are attentive and competent and always remember you when you return. The restaurant is pristine and comfortable. The location is ideal next to the train station, close to... More

We picked this restaurant largely because it was open past 8:00pm. The waitstaff were friendly, the food basic but good, and they had some options for our gluten-free diner. Only quibble was that the food came in dribs and drabs. When I visit a restaurant I expect all the entrees to come within 5 minutes of each other, not 5... More

"Begonias" used to be a wonderful, small, towny place to visit...bring your own wine, hot food, friendly service. On my second visit to their newer, full restaurant I was as disappointed and irritated as I was the first time. This will be my last visit. I've had Italian food in many U.S. cities and abroad....the "little Italy" neighborhoods, traditional pasta... More

We were very pleased with our meal at Scarlet Begonia's . Much of the experience was made wonderful by Kevin , perhaps the most kind & helpful waiter that we have encountered in a long time . I went with my husband & his Mom & Dad in a wheelchair . Kevin let me choose the table that would work... More

We decided to give this place a try despite the poor review given in August. We found it busy, welcoming and full of locals. Good bistro style menu with huge portions - we could easily have shared a main course! Friendly, efficient staff.
