We stopped here for lunch and we shared bruschetta, seafood chowder and a salad. I loved their bruschetta with tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, and balsamic vinegar, but my husband not as much. He loved the seafood/leek chowder, the flavour was great but I had virtually no seafood nor leeks. The salad with greens, Gorgonzola, marinated vegetables and nut pesto was great!

While in Mid-coast Maine for a weekend away, dined here on the advice of family, and was pleased that we did. About 40 seats, was busy but not noisy while we were there. A lot of locals seemed to be here, that's a good sign. Was seated quickly, and waited on with a smile and good humor. Drinks came fast,... More

Very good food and reasonably priced. This is one of those restaurants that feels like home. My favorite is chicken parm, my wife says their lasagna is "to die for" and my daughter loves anything they do with pesto.

We've been here many times over the years and food has been consistently good at a very good price. Just took advantage of Brunswick's Restaurant week promotion and got appetizer, main course, dessert, salad and of course - those garlic knots - for $20.14 each. Although this was an extraordinary bargain, even on regular nights, food is reasonably priced. Each... More

We have lived in the area for years and heard all kinds of good things about this restaurant, but until yesterday had never tried it. We learned that all the praise was well-earned. The food was excellent -- the Linguine Pescatore was loaded with seafood and a delicious creamy Alfredo sauce; the Veal Saltimbocca was very tasty, but a little... More

The food here is always first class. I have been to the Great Impasta many times and have never been disappointed. The food and service have always been excellent. The restaurant is small and cozy and very friendly.

Beyond that I am not that impressed with this restaurant. The ambiance and service is fine, but last time I went the chicken I was served was very dry and quite frankly boring. I felt I could make something much tastier myself for a fraction of the cost. I gave the leftovers to my husband back at home and he... More

I hadn't been to the Great Impasta in several years. I was surprised to find a new and lovely décor. The tables were freshly varnished wood, and the side wall has a pretty intaglio scene. The lighting was subdued but not too much so, and the music was, happily, also at a nice background level, and of good sound quality.... More

The lasagna is very good. The garlic knots are a must. For dessert try the tiramisu. It's homemade and soooo good. One of my favorite restaurants in Brunswick.

A Friday evening so it was very busy we had to wait about 20 minutes. No real place to wait so a lot of us were crowed by the door. Staff very friendly the hostess was great. Got seated near a window. The waiter was sullen but efficient and the food was good and reasonably priced.
