From Chicago, enroute to visit friends in Maine, we stopped in Brunswick to see the Bowdoin college museum, a little gem in itself. Walking past the Brunswick Inn we discovered Lemongrass, a small, intimate, Vietnamese restaurant on the edge of the college. The peaceful, well appointed interior was just what we needed after an afternoon of walking and looking. The... More

Lemongrass does have nice interior decorations and atmosphere but the food itself is awful. The portions are small especially for the price they charge and it's just not authentic Vietnamese food. Maybe that's what Mainers are looking for?! We've tried it out maybe 3 times; honestly because there is no competition but it's just not worth the price. I dropped... More

I am by no means an expert in Vietnamese food so I just go by what my taste buds tell me. Lemongrass is great! We started with the spring rolls with shrimp which was fresh and lively. For the mains we had the coconut peanut delight and the pho noodles stir fry - both excellent. Fried bananas with syrup topped... More

With such a great name, I had high hopes. The kitchen sent out a tough pork Lemongrass Peanut Coconut milk curry which had a good flavor but was not spicy as we had suggested and was ultimately inedible because of the tough meat. After sending it back the waitress did bring back a more tender chicken version though I was... More

I've eaten here only once, for lunch. I loved the curry dish I had. Wish the green tea was genuine, but when I requested the tea, the server brought a dish with green tea bags. I think they could make a tad more effort in that regard. It's minor, but....Service very nice and friendly. I will definitely go back and... More

Second best Pho I've had so far in Maine. The fresh spring rolls were a little bland but, i went there for the Pho which was delish!

We both ordered spring rolls as appetisers. Mine arrived late as they had to cook it twice. It was cold so they did another. It arrived just as I was halfway through the entree. I literally poured the oil from it on to paper napkin. When I pointed it to the server, the response was 'they are difficult to cook'.... More

Living in California we were reluctant to try Vietnamese food in Maine but we were wrong. The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. The portions were enough that we could have shared a meal. Pleasant surprise. They were very busy although not the normally busy time of year according to the server. There was only one sever so she was... More

We were recently driving back to Boston from Acadia National Park. Tried of eating out, and missing healthy food, we read a glowing review of Lemongrass. And it was totally accurate. We had two mostly Veggie dishes: one with lemon and one with crispy egg noodles. The vegetables were utterly fresh and colorful. A filling meal that tasted great, and... More
