Having long experienced the Greek eateries of Astoria, Queens, I can honestly say that this little gem of a restaurant is right up there with the best of them. Make your reservation early in the week as it is wall to wall people on the weekend. If you're fond of Greek cuisine, then this is definitely the place for you.... More

We went there tonight for restaurant week in Brunswick and had the fixed price dinner and it was amazing. I'm not a usual fan of Greek food but I'll eat here any day of the week .they do a wonderful job and the staff is knowledgeable about pairing what wine with what you like and what you going to have... This is a restaurant with a mission, and everyone from the wait staff to the kitchen has bought in, with enthusiasm. They've got a lot to be proud of: thoughtfully prepared food, fair prices, and lovely surroundings. Every step in the process is taken seriously, from selecting and purchasing what to cook, figuring out how to prepare it, and bringing... More

DayD A baThis was one of our favorites. Went there on St. Patricks Day an we were very disappointed. Because the restaurant is small, you are blasted with cold air every time someone enters or leaves (despite the curtain.) There was only one special that night that was a fixed price multi course that one of our party had. He... More

Trattoria Athena is lovely. Comfortable, understated, yet beautiful space; upbeat and helpful staff who attended quickly and cheerfully to our requests without being overbearing or fake-friendly and gave fabulous suggestions and information about wine and food; warm and pleasant atmosphere; and wonderful food, from the bread and assorted spreads to our entrees and and greek yogurt desserts. Great spot for... More

Trattoria Athena was a well kept secret at one small point in time, but no more. It is challenging to get a reservation on weekends and their move to Maine Street in April 2013 will be welcome and hopefully still evoking superlative reviews.. They continue to provide a largely locally provided menu and continue to innovate with Greek and Italian... More

I picked this restaurant because of its 5 star rating and was totally happy there! The waiter was just perfect--friendly and warm without being a pest, and very helpful in making menu suggestions. The restaurant is cozy and appealing. When I went it was "Greek Week" because the Italian chef was in Italy getting some new inspiration, but the waiter... More

This restaurant is really cute and for the most part, the food was rather good. However, our entree (meat) was pretty fatty. The menu also was a bit limited. I recommend the restaurant with some reservations.

Brunswick has several fine restaurants, and this one rates at or near the top. I have eaten here many times and come away each time in awe of the meals and of the owners' and chefs' creativity and imagination. They try to use local products in new and traditional ways to make delicious Greek and other dishes. What they come... More

All of our food was fabulously delicious and made me feel like everything else we eat is pathetic in comparison. As an appetizer we ordered an artichoke heart dish, which was superb: lightly battered and so tender. For dinner I had a scallop dish, which was cooked perfectly, and my boyfriend had a pork dish, which he said was so... More
