A charming little restaurant tucked into the town of Brunswick. The appetizers (artichoke and bruschetta) were a delicious start to the meal then the homemade pasta made the meal incredible. We had some of the seasonal ravioli and could even see some of the chefs preparing the pasta in the back. Very cozy and genuine atmosphere. I completely recommend it... More

First of all, I love lamb chops and they make great ones. I did not know most of the things on the board but our server was a great sales person and very patient. Everything was wonderful. Only problem was cold draft when the door opened and closed. It is a tiny place and now I know to ask for... More

Amazing dinner. My husband ordered the ragu, it was absolutely outstanding. Salty, light sauce saturated with lamb flavor and tender, fall off the fork, melt in your mouth lamb. I ordered the seasonal ravioli which had carrot, Parmesan and ricotta cheeses in a white butter sauce. It was light, delicate and I was so sad when it was gone. We... More

Have been a fan of T.A. for several years. The homemade ravioli is always perfect, and when entering the restaurant, if you peek into the kitchen, you will see them making that night's version. Also, the Fried Artichokes with lemon-garlic aioli is a must and everyone at the table sneaks peeks to see who has eaten the most. Might need... More

This experience was one of the best I've had in a restaurant in a long time. The four course prixe fixe meal was terrific all the way through, including dessert. Our server Jason was terrific. I overheard what another diner was having (pesto with pistachios) & I was curious about it. Jason did not hesitate to bring some over so... More

Had the most enjoyable business dinner at Trattoria Athena. Small hidden location. Our total dining experience lasted close to 4 hours. No rush. Took our time. Our server, Jason, knew we weren't in a rush, so stopped by every now and then. Excellent service. You have to start with the Greek spreads. You will never butter your bread after having... More

We have been here many times, and it is best food we've had in Midcoast Maine, and possibly all of Maine. Friendly, warm, local, comfortable. Some of the dishes they make (the stuffed zucchini flowers) are the sort of thing that only your own grandmother would go to the trouble of making for you. This is our go-to spot for... More

Small but worth the trip after waiting in short line. Food is made from scratch so be patient. Will return on next trip to Maine.

We just bought a getaway place in a nearby town and started exploring Brunswick's food culture. The options include a lot of inexpensive ethnic restaurants that seemed more tuned to the budgets and tastes of college students. Without a reservation we stepped into Trattoria Athena, a cozy little oasis of rough wood tables, a 4 seat bar, and maybe 30... More
