Best fish and chips I've had in years. It's haddock, and very fresh and hot! The location beside the river is lovely. You couldn't ask more from a Maine lunch!

I was heading to a family wedding in Blue Hill and I knew I needed something to sate my hunger before the ceremony. I remembered reading that Bagaduce was nearby and it was a highly recommended stop in the area. It's easy to miss if you're not paying attention. It's a roadside stand that is classic Maine. We both had... More

Great outside location on the Bagaduce river near Castine Maine. Love the fried haddock sandwich and their sun-brewed tea. All fried dishes are fantastic. Eating outside on one of their picnic tables is divine.

Read about this place in The Ultimate Guide to New England clam Shacks. Food and location lived up to the expectation. Definitely off the beaten path in the middle of farm and residential area, alongside a lovely tidal river with picnic tables. We had the fried clams and shrimp which were great. Seafood was prepared right, tender, juicy, and full... More

Been going here for years. It is somewhat overpriced and the service never fails to be rude. But...it is the best clam roll, haddock sandwich, etc... I've ever had. And sitting out on their picnic tables is lovely on a sunny summer day. Portions are huge.

First off I taught the price was a bit high. I had the large lobster roll and she had a small side of fried clams. No fries no drinks. Came to 28$ something. BUT!!! The lobster was incredible. Super fresh. The clams were some of the best we've ever had.

Located on the Penobscot/Brooksville border at the bridge over the reversing tidal falls, Bagaduce Lunch has been a local favorite for several years. Simple, unpretentious, and serving fresh food for take out or to eat at one of the several picnic tables on the edge of the Bagaduce River. Favorites are the Haddock Roll - you have to see it... Based on everyone else's reviews maybe I hit it on a bad day. Maybe I should have said something to the kitchen but the fried clams were the worst I've ever had. So chewy that neither I nor my friend finished ours. I'll try the crab roll next time. Onion rings were fine, though. And the view always great on... More

Fried clams are absolutely the best anywhere. Lobster roll VERY filling. Be prepared to wait when busy, which is most lunch and dinner times. Fish sandwich has a huge portion of fish overflowing from the bun. Actually located in Sedgewick next to the bridge over the Bagaduce River.

Your typical dive but oh so good. Honestly did not want to eat here by the looks of the place but have been coming back here for 5 years now. Friend clams & shrimp are out of this world. My boyfriend was a commercial fisherman, so if he says it's fresh...then it's fresh. Love eating out back with the water... More
