Great managers who care about their customers and can run a pub

Georgina and Philip have been running the pub for a few months now and they brought this pub back to life. They know what they are doing. They know it's first and foremost a country pub where locals will come regularly as long as the ale is good, the place is warm, comfortable and clean, the prices... read more

This was not a planned trip, we discovered this lovely charming pub restaurant by chance, but how glad we did. In our party there were 4 very hungry adults and a small 6 month old baby. We thought we would be too late to eat but the wonderful staff went out of there way to make sure we were comfortable... More

Really felt welcome in this warm country pub set in a beautiful village and tucked away. The landlady and lord go above and beyond to make sure everyone is okay and catered for. Lovely, relaxed, friendly pub. Happened to be here when a wake was being catered for. What a spread! Overheard the relatives talking and saying they had never... More

I have to agree with the review from Mumbles G, we had a meal here last night and it was the best we have had in a pub for a long time, perfectly cooked steak, and a yummy apple and caramel desert. When we booked we asked for a dairy free option for my wife and it was no problem.... More

Visited tonight at 7.15 and asked to see the he menu. We were astonished to be told that it would be 8.00 before we could be served. The person serving us then reeled of about 10 other people waiting for food, not really busy for a pud of its size. On a plus side there was a roaring log fire.... More

We went here with the family, we didn't have a very friendly welcome, it felt that we were putting them out to be honest. The menu was typical pub grub, it was good that they had adult, small children and slightly bigger appetite portions - definite bonus. I had a rare steak which came medium and was a bit dry,...
