Ok. It's not that the place is hidden. It is just unassuming and confusing from the outside. It looks a bit rundown and the name is a bit confusing so we have passed it by on many occasions. Wait staff was slow and just average. I had clams and they were good. The Onion Rings were OK but not real tasty. The Sweet Potato Fries were very thin. I liked the rustic setting! This restaurant is definitely a good place to stop.

an adorable l restaurant with antique-y-/ whimsical decor. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. A nice selection of beers. Drafts that night were only $1.50. I had the roast beef on rye with sauerkraut , Swiss cheese and horseradish. Superb. My husband had also a roast beef, with american cheese and mustard. Coleslaw on the side. it... More

We went to the Beef & ski last night for a family dinner. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly. I had the fish and chips. The fish was lightly fried. It was delicious. My husband had the roast beef and my mom had the turkey sandwich. Both were fresh and very good. My kids had... More

We have driven by the Beef & Ski so many times and we finally gave it a try ~ It was great! From the outside it doesn't look like much, but the inside is very nicely updated. The menu had a wide variety of food. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and everyone liked what they got - chicken... More

Some friends of our at there a couple of years ago and said the food was pretty good and we should give it a try. We went back with them and the whole place was done over. The décor is very casual with old skis on the walls and various antiques throughout. One side is a bar with bench tables... More

The best onion rings I have ever had. All I can speak on are the onion rings and the amazing Happy Hour ( $2 Bud Lights 22oz. and $1 Rolling Rock). We stopped in here after skiing at Shawnee Peak and were completely satisfied with a basket of onion rings and a few beers. Service was quick and the place... More

Growing up and skiing in Maine in the 70s and 80s my family's après ski ideal was a good dinner on the drive home. There were no chains back then, except the Golden Arches. I have some great memories from the various family-run-100-percent-local establishments we frequented on those weekend afternoons. Today, on the way home from skiing with my own... More

Owners have taken the time to go the extra mile. Great food: lobster roll and fried clams were our choices and we were not disappointed! Happy hour till 7:00 made our dinner that much more enjoyable! Be sure and make this a stop on your list!
