What a nice, relaxing atmosphere! The food is excellent, I had the duck with raspberry sauce-awesome! It is family owned and run so it's not fast food but a step back in time when food was enjoyed not devoured.

Has to be the best food in Maine! Can't understand some of the negatives here, other than waitress is a touch "cold" to say the least, BUT if you want great food at a great price this is the place. This is NOT fast food, & she'll be the first to tell you!

The food here is divine! My husband had the Mixed Grill, & I had the stuffed Haddock. Both were excellent! One of the best meals we've had. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere as well.

Everything freshly prepared so we were there for a while but it was worth the wait. The rack of lamb was excellent and my wife enthusiased over the haddock. This made for a very pleasant evening out.

We have eaten at Tom's Homestead several times over the past fifteen years, while visiting my mother who lived in Bridgton until her death this year. Tom's is a "special night" restaurant, and it's not really a good fit for children. The ambiance is lovely (seating is in different rooms on the first floor of an old house) and the... More

We decided on passing by to stop and have dinner. A pretentious menu, well priced gave hope for a good meal. The reception by the waiting staff was shabby, we've had more refined amuse-de-bouche then a sellery stick, a radish and a spring onion in a tray of ice and the duck in a rashberry sauce had lost it's life... The exterior is very attractive. The dining room is very traditional. The hostess was very grumpy. As the dining room was without A/C and very warm, we opted to leave before being seated for dinner.

We love Tom's. If you are the type that is in a hurry, wait until you have time to enjoy a dining experience. The service here is paced and NEVER hurried. You will have anple time to study the menu and ask questions of the Waitstaff. The courses come perfectly timed and we've found the food to be consistantly Excellent. A... More

The chef here is super. Down home cooking at it's best. Large portions are the norm. Wonderful variety to choose from. THe atmosphere is so nice. The place has an ambiance of years ago. The lunch specials are always a treat. Dinner is to die for. Friendly servers. Another favorite.

We recently had lunch after being away for 3-4 years and now I know why we hadn't been back. The waitress was not very friendly, beginning with when we first walked in. We felt like we were inconveniencing her by wanting to have lunch there. She also answered the phone to take reservations so we had to listen to her... More
