Slow but yummy

Very tasty food. Same service as others have written. Was at least 1.5-2 hours. Seemed to go fast. Filled up fast with walk-ins. We had a reservation 5:00. and were the first ones here. I'd come again.

My husband and I discovered this gem while traveling Route 302 in Oct. 2015 and decided to stop in for dinner. The atmosphere is quaint and quiet. The service was wonderful and friendly. We enjoy having time between our courses and so the pace was perfect for us. The food was superb and cooked perfectly. I had the Steak Diane... More

My wife and I shared our 7th wedding anniversary at Tom's Homestead and absolutely LOVED IT!!! The scallop appetizer was unreal, my filet was so tender you could cut it with a fork and the taste was incredible. Thanks again for another memorable evening. We love your food!!!!!

Having passed this restaurant in the morning we sought to organise a table for two on our return in the early evening, and although addressed bluntly throughout we were allotted a table in what otherwise seemed to be a quiet evening. The place was clean and nicely done out with curtains, table clothes and carpet, which deadened the noise. The... More

I REALLY wanted to eat at Tom's. I hadn't been there in years. I called about making reservations and was cut off mid sentence, telling me to come "tomorrow" instead. I will try, again, the next time I visit the area, because I really would like to revisit a great memory, but I truly hope that the owners learn that... More

If you're looking for amazing food, this is the place. Just make sure you've got ~3 hours to wait for it to come! And make sure you have reservations as to not have your head chopped off by the hostess. What I gathered from said blunt and downright frightening waitress/hostess/probably-Tom's-wife is that Tom is the only one cooking. Which makes... More

I am blown away by the fact that a husband and wife run this restaurant alone six days a week and consistently serve absolutely fabulous meals. They do not operate on the usual restaurant model so it can be easy to misunderstand. They make everything from scratch from salad dressing to dessert and prepare meals to order. This is a... More

My husband and I were on vacation trying all the restaurants in the area. On a Thursday evening we stopped at Tom's only to have to wait at the door for over 5 minutes. While waiting, we observed only 3 occupied tables. Finally a rude unpleasant older female approached us and told us we would have to leave she was... More

After looking for a restaurant in Bridgton, this delightful-looking homey restaurant was where we thought we would enjoy a good meal. We never did eat (so we can't comment on the food) - but the waitress there was abrupt, had no eye contact, was less than engaging, didn't ask us if we wanted something to drink and rushed through the...
