Small and Load

This is the second time in two North bound trips that we stopped here for lunch. This time we ordered seafood, my wife a lobster salad for $18.00 and I ordered the Fried Hadick Dinner for $15.50. This restaurant has only 11 tables!! Seating over 25 people it's extremely loud, and only (1... read more

A local on my plane into Bangor recommended this place for a lobster roll. I do not know how big they were in the past (see previous posts) but I know the quantity was as much or more than I got in any other lobster rolls while in Maine and it was fresh and tasty as any. I came back... More

Sat at the bar as there were no other seats and were glad we did. The lobster roll was fantastic and my lobster stew was just about the best I've ever had. Another person complained that the lobster roll was all claws and knuckle meat. That is the most tender and delicious compared with the chewier tail meat. Reasonable prices,... More

This is an incredibly small restaurant with, as the signs says inside, one cook and one waitress. There is a lovely view from the one window. We did not have to wait long for a table or for our food, despite signs around the place warning it was possible, and this was my first taste of fresh Maine lobster. It... More

My husband and I have been eating at the Eagle's Nest at least once a year for over a decade on our annual visits to Bangor. In fact, it has been a "destination location" on our trips. We were always amazed at how good the food was at such a small, unassuming place. However, we ate there last week, and... More

An off-road place offers a great meal. We ordered a lobster roll and a lobster stew. The roll was absolutely marvelous, with almost a ton of lobster! You literally won't be able to fold that sandwich! The stew was also very tasty - just a word of caution - the sauce of the stew is essentially a warm milk or... More

We liked this little restaurant until this year. We always went to eat there from Canadian border city where we live. But last week, we were very very disappointed. The lobster sandwich got smaller, almost half size of what it used to be. The haddock and fries, is half portion of what it used to be too!!! The fries were... More

Low quality fried food. If you want a ridiculous portion of greasy food than by all means go here, if not, keep driving. Also super slow.

On paper this is what I love.. Out of the way, divey but good food at a good price. So... It was tiny and Filthy. Filthy! I've never complained about cleanliness before but holy crap this place was bad. The lobster roll was big. Over 18 dollars. Zero tail meat. Zero. I dissected the roll. Lots of claw, a tiny... More
