The Eagle's Nest is a tiny little hole in the wall sort of place that literally hangs over the Penobscot River just a few miles outside of Brewer on Rt. 9 (North Main St or "The Airline" to us locals). The lobster roll is absolutely massive - clear meat lobster with very little dressing to ruin the flavor of Maine's... More

We ate at this restaurant this afternoon. It's dirty! The waitresses were talking about their exercise routine the whole time we were sitting there. My husband had the stuffed chicken breasts-store bought. I had a fish burger and the fish was good but massive for a hamburger bun and I had trouble eating it. We will never visit again. We... More

Being from the South, lobster rolls are not high on any menu; however, they should be. The lobster roll we ate at the Eagle's Nest had to have more lobster on it than anything I had ever seen...it was packed. It was served with fries and slaw, and for the amount of money (less than $18), which was cheaper than... More

Simply a great lobster roll! Tiny space, closeness made interacting with staff, cook, other patrons a welcoming experience. Highly recommend!

This place was rated very well and advertised as having one of the largest lobster rolls around. That is a fact!!! The thing was huge and for about $16, was the most lobster we have ever had on a roll. In fact the lobster to roll ratio was way off; next time I would ask for another bread roll to... More

Never expected such great food at such an unassuming place. We were more than pleased. Don't judge a book by its cover.

We had driven by this place many a time and there were always cars in the parking lot. The food was ok and the portions were very large but the place was filthy. From the dirty floors to the dirty walls and disgusting bathroom, If I was the health inspector they would be closed down. Being in the hospitality business... More

Stopped here about an hour before closing time one evening. The "20- minute wait" turned into 45 minutes and we were seated just before they locked the door. This is, as others have said, is a tiny little place perched over the south bank of the Penobscot River, between Brewer and Eddington, Maine. Great view. We are natives but every... More

Our first stop after arriving in Maine and we were NOT disappointed. Obviously a place where the locals eat-kind of a dive but there is nothing wrong with that. Would definitely recommend and would go back to try some of the other menu items.

My friend and I were starving after driving the "Old Airline" road from Calais to Brewer. As we neared Brewer we noticed this roadside diner whose parking lot was filled to capacity and folks standing around by the front door. "Maybe we should head back and check it out", my friend said taking a cue from the busy traffic. We... More
