Sat at the bar and watched them make the food= torture! Give me it all!

This place is so amazing. One chef, one dishwasher, two waitstaff, one person plating... and the food is so good! We were told service was slow, but we got our food quickly. Because we sat at the 4 seated bar (not recommended unless you want to be freezing next to the mini-split AC), we got to... read more

Loved the food! Very filling! I'm no seafood person, but I figured that I couldn't go wrong with bacon grilled cheese! Also, peanut butter pie! YUM! If you drive too fast down the road, you just might miss it! Parking is hard. My family is from Ohio, so we had our little luggage trailer, and when we went to park,... More

We use to eat here almost 50 years ago when it was known as Nickerson's. It was a beautiful Maine summer day so we didn't mind waiting for a table. Many locals came and bought take-out. The lobster roll was okay but we have had better. The meat was dry and not too flavorful. After eating, I used the restroom... More

I go every year on my way back home. We love this restaurant. The food is great, the service is very friendly and not expensive.

If you want an inexpensive Main "lobstah" roll, go to McDonald's. Its seems like the formula for lobster rolls has changed in the last 20 years. What we remember then was lobster with a variety of seasonings in an over-sized hot dog bun with the top hollowed out. Now, it's chunk lobster seasoned with Mayo-only between 2 slices of a... More

My wife and were seated at the bar since the few tables they have were full. We each had a lobster roll which were generous but in my view a bit bland. The lobster did not have a lot of taste. The lobster rolls were not cheap. We had a birds eye view of the kitchen in action. The staff... More

The Eagle's Nest is a local eatery in the vein of a greasy spoon tenuously perched on the banks of the Penobscot River in Brewer, Maine. When you enter this restaurant you are greeted by a family friendly room with a scant 10-12 tables and counter service for about 4-6 people. The restaurant usually full, but waiting times are manageable... More

Stopped here on the way to Bar Harbor. Locals told us 1 lobster roll would be good for both of us. We accepted the challenge and ordered two. Huge amount of lobster (more than anywhere else we tried), nice mayo based, soft toasted bun. Also had the lobster stew which was basically more lobster in a creamy, buttery broth. Really... More

Walked in on July 4th.. wife and I got a counter seat next to a couple of bikers...eyed their onion rings, asked the biker dude for a quality check...his comment.."best I've ever had, but we can't finish them...have at ;em!" We went on to split a HUGE lobster roll (with the included split of fries and MORE onion rings. What... More

This was our first visit to Maine to visit our daughter. We wanted to experience the best of the local fare. Eagles Nest did not disappoint. If you are looking for fancy ambience don't come here BUT if you are looking for fresh, homemade food don't miss this place. We were immediately made to feel welcome by the hostess/waitress Katie,...
