This was the perfect stop for us on a long drive when we wanted a real meal and no fast food. The room is small but we were seated right away and the service, despite a disclaimer on the wall asking patrons to be patient, was quick and very friendly. Almost every other table had lobster rolls and they looked... More

We were so glad that we went out of our way to find "The Nest". This is truly the kind of Maine food that we were looking for. Just kind of a "Mom and Pop" joint nestled on the bank of the river and serving fantastic food. We sat at the counter, because seating is limited and you might have... More

Eagle‘s Nest is the locals' favorite for lobster rolls, though the rest of the menu items are also very good. The restaurant is small and unassuming, but sits right on the bank of the Penobscot River. But don't let appearances deceive you. The foid is great, and the servers provide excellent service. Our lobster rolls were positively heaping and the... More

We went here for lunch today. It is a tiny little place on the banks of the Penobscot River in Brewer, Maine. We both had lobsta roll, which was nothing more than huge chunks of claw meat on a perfectly toasted roll with a bit of mayo and spices. Nothing better! Except maybe the chocolate cream pie, or perhaps the... More

Typical of the story were diners go into a Restaurant thats known for it Fish and you order Steak ! Well in our case it was "Meatloaf" ... We should of had the Clams or the Lobster Roll shame on us ! The portions were extremely large ... The meatloaf was good but the mashed potatoes were instant and the... More

Stopped by here after being recommended by the lady at the tourist info center. I ordered a fish sandwich, and I literally got the whole filet in a bun, sticking out on either side. It was very good, way more than I could eat. Would return in a heartbeat.

These folks provide the real deal...lobster rolls with a mammoth amount of lobster meat! In fact, one doesn't need the roll...I just want the lobster salad! This is a must-stop place. It is a bit of a hole in the wall but always crowded. The views overlook the Penobscot River, a perfect accompaniment to the food. My partner had an... More

Every year we travel from NY to Grand Lake Stream, Maine. Every year we make sure to time our lunch break at the Eagle's Nest. Their lobster rolls are the best... All meat, a little mayo and a roll that is made to look small with all the lobster salad piled high on it! If you're in Bangor this is... More

Had the greatest lobster roll in this small place overhanging the river in Brewer Maine. Chock full of Claws and Knuckles on a toasted roll. So much lobster you could hardly close the roll. Good coleslaw and fries to accompany.
