Had the pasta primavera because I didn't feel like seafood and it was quite good; nice sauce and lots of veggies. I have had the fish n' chips before and it was also excellent. MASSIVELY GENEROUS PORTIONS! I couldn't even eat half of my plate, but definitely saved it for next day lunch. The... read more

We had a burger and fried clams at Whale's Tale. They were delicious. The fries were good and the service was excellent. We loved it there.

One of my favorite places in Boothbay Harbor. Get a table outside, if you can. The views, especially sunset, are gorgeous. Food is always good. The lobster roll is great, warmed up with butter... The chicken pot pie is big enough for two. And the ribs using Jack's recipe, are really a treat!

I have been to Boothbay Harbor countless times and have eaten at just about every establishment in this town. My girlfriend and I decided to give this place a try since it was quiet, on the water, and out of the way. We were seated outside with three other tables being waited on by one server. At first, she was... More

Great place to eat...outside seating is available. They do not stay open super late but the food is good enough to get there early! There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed what we each ordered!

Ordered a swordfish entree & a salmon entree which, on a day that did not appear too busy, still took just over an hour to appear. Both fish dishes so very dry that they could not be chewed & swallowed--best described as doormats. Broccoli veg was tired & looked to be old & reheated. That will be our last visit... More

Visited with friends for lunch. The Seafood Chowder was recommended by my Boothbay Harbor friends and it did not disappoint. (rumor is that it has won local chowder cook-offs repeatedly). Two in our group had a burger abd thet were equally satisfied with their meals. Whale Tale is perched just above a marina in Boothbay Harbor and offers and ever-changing... More

We went to Whale's Tale on a foggy, last night of our vacation. We sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed our clams and lobsters. Waitress was friendly and attentive. She also told us interesting details about the well made model ships inside the restaurant.

Made a reservation for a Saturday night. When we arrived there was a man singing pleasantly in the inside dining area. We waited for someone to take a drink order or give us a menu. Nothing. After ten minutes, we got up and got our own menus. After waiting a long time, we just decided to leave without having to... More

Spent the afternoon with dad after driving up from Ct., we just love Boothbay, and Boothbay Harbor. We've been to the Whale's Tail before and always enjoyed ourselves just as we did today. Good food and service, friendly staff.
