This review isn't about food - we didn't get any. It's about service - and we didn't get any of that either. We drove over on a beautiful afternoon for drinks, dinner and sunset. There was no one who seemed interested in seating us so we wandered around and ended up on the deck. A staff person came to our... More

Rocktide is a great restaurant that is attached to a hotel. The restaurant overlooks the water and Boothbay Harbor. Like most good restaurants, the prices are a bit up there, but so worth it. I highly recommend their popovers - it is worth a trip just to try them!

We have been dining at the Rocktide for years - always great food, popovers and dining with a beautiful view of Boothbay Harbor. They just got a new chef so this last time we were there it was clear they were getting used to a new cook and menu. Hopefully, they will get back to their usual level of excellence.

What on earth happened to the Rocktide Inn? For 25+ years we have enjoyed the atmosphere and wonderful meals but our most recent experience left us searching for a new "special" restaurant. We got the impression that any sort of contingency might create a crisis for the staff, from a couple of tour buses (likely scheduled) to inclement weather (forecast... More

We have visited many Summers, for dinner. We always enjoyed Rocktide's Lobster in Champagne sauce, their signature dish. The new Chef has destroyed a great dish! Watered down, and very different. Lady Host said new Chef did not have the old recipe? And that is the way it's gonna be..Won't be going back

Arrived early for lunch. Only a couple of tables were seated. So it wasn't real busy. First rule of a restaurant is don't put a waitress on the floor who doesn't know what is going on. Today we had server #9 from Transylvania. She answered more questions with "I don't know" than she had answers for. Real tough questions like... More

We went for lunch on Windjammer parade day and the view is excellent. They were only serving from the bar menu and the spring salad menu. Our waitress must have been new because she was terrible. The people next to us had their food delivered so late that the manager offered them free drink not one but twice. Great view,... More

Wasn't very friendly, just put down the food and left, never asked us if we wanted another drink or followed back up on our food order.

When I pulled in and the valet was missing, I should have left. Someone from hotel helped but she had no idea what she was doing. Arrived at the hostess desk and they had no menus. I could understand if the restaurant was full but it was pretty empty. She then asked if we had reservations and we stated no.... More

My wife and I just visited in early June 2014 and we had a great time, the location is perfect with just a short walk across the foot bridge or using the trolley. Their staff's are very friendly and accommodating with absolute attention to details. The Jamaican chef Dwayne can really cook...food to died for. Reasonable price, great bar, without... More
