Upscale in Boothbay Harbor!

This is an upscale surprise in Boothbay Harbor across the harbor. Indeed fine dining is available in this village. Instead of bread, they serve warm popovers....wonderful. I tried the popover with lobster and blueberry jam in it. I know, it sounds weird but you have to try it. The jam is not as... read more

This restaurant was so good, we booked two nights in a row out of our three night stay next door. The servers were so great, well dressed in uniforms, knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. Food was above average, especially the 'champagne lobster, the salmon and the halibut!!! Delicious.

A must restaurant to visit with both inside as well as outside seating. A recommendation from a local resident for us to find a more local place to eat, A little out of town on West Boothbay but well worth the trip. Same road you take to go to the Aquarium. Lobster was excellent as well as the chowder. I... More

I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Four families,8 persons, went in at 7pm during the height of the tourist season. Four of us wanted clams and they were out. Another ordered halibut and 45 minutes later after it was ordered, we were told that it was not available. We were there a total of 2 hours. We were... More

This was our first time here. We will be back every vacation, the food was grand! You start with popovers rather than bread, what a great idea this is. I had the Caesar salad a large portion with thin, crisp cheese 'waffles' on the side, it was very good. I then had the lobster tails, twin, fresh, delightfully seasoned. My... More

We've been going to the Rocktide for dinner once a year while in Boothbay Harbor for several years. It's always been fair, not great, and a little on the pricey side. Last night was absolutely horrible -- and our last time there ever. We waited more than an hour for our food without even the offer of bread to ride... More

We had an awesome time. The inn is on the opposite side of the harbor from the stores n boats. You walk across a footbridge to get to the other side. The food and service were great. I highly recommend a stay and meal here. If you stay they have a buffet brunch every morning. Definitely enjoyed my 2 nights.

We have not stayed at the Inn, but the restaurant was first-class. Excellent and attentive wait-staff. Food was delicious (one of the best clam chowders ever!). The local oysters were WONDERFUL. Oh, and do not forget the fresh popovers! Really a lovely and filling dinner, reasonably priced and very convenient, on Atlantic Ave. Do not miss this place!

My wife and I were having a drink on the veranda of a restaurant on Boothbay Harbor, Maine, when she overheard two women talking about their dinner meal from the previous night, how exceptional and delicious it was. She wasn't going to ask, but I prevailed. The ladies were only too happy to tell us about the restaurant right next... More

I had the signature Lobster popover dish and it was excellent! The staff was very professional but there seemed to be a slight fruit fly issue at the time of our dining.
