This place was recommended by our hotel as one of the best places for breakfast and they were absolutely right. The restaurant is in an old New England home inside dining as well as a deck in the front and back. Great menu with many homemade deserts. Yummy.

Excellent coffee, friendly service, good food, reasonable prices. We love the spicy Mama D Egg Sandwich with fluffy scrambled egg with cheese center, sausage, tomato and jalapeno's... nice with a fresh grilled muffin. If they had home fries I might try their omelets. Cool old house with lots of stuff on the walls. Can't go wrong here.

Visited for breakfast and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Scones were fresh and tasty as were our main dishes. Especially enjoyed the teacher's pet dish and croissant sandwich. Service was good and prices were very reasonable. One major setback - Mamma doesn't accept credit cards! This is a big turn off for out of town travelers who don't carry... More

I loved this place - funky, quirky, colorful, interesting. A real melange of different styles, and a lot of fun to dine in. Did I mention the food was yummy too. I had a DELICIOUS cranberry orange muffin full of flavor, moist and soooo good - especially after the blah blueberry muffin the day before at my motel's breakfast. Waitstaff... More

Ate here twice. We laughed at other reviews…someone said furniture didn't match. HAHA….we love that kind of stuff. Food was AWESOME. Had special of day Mexican skillet. Waffles were great. Tea was great. OJ was great. Patio was wonderful….who couldn't love this place and PRICE WAS RIGHT…cheaper than hotel buffet breakfast. They even brought by a bite of 'free' sweet... More

While staying at Harborage Inn we walked down to Mama D's for breakfast and were lucky to get the last available table. Such a variety of choices, excellent coffee, juices etc. Portions freshly made and not oversized.Frequented by both locals and tourists - always a good sign. They are open from 7am if you have an early start.

Small hectic Cafe. Serve your own coffee, fetch your own flatware and napkin and watch as servers race around. Two "firsts" for me here. Server asks the traditional, disinterested, "How is everything?" while not attempting to stop and make eye contact and never breaking stride on her way to another room. Also read a newspaper laying nearby and found a... More
