Its such a nice wharf

Very informal, very simple, everything seems so very real, not just the average tourist trap. We enjoyed the stroll and the meal.

When The Coop was there before, it used to be the gathering place for most area lobstermen, it was a happy place and it was "THE ONE" Dock for lobster. That's no more. They seem to be trying to reinvent the wheel and trying too hard. The coleslaw is spiced up with what you would put on a pumpkin pie.... More

We like the outdoor tables because we can bring the dog. You can have lobster right where the lobsters come off the boats. Never had a problem with the food.

Starving, we stepped into this modest restaurant on the touristy waterside of Boothbay Harbor with low expectations. We were blown away by how good the food is. Thick pieces of sweet, fresh cod in a light and crisp batter--absolutely the most perfect expression of this dish imaginable. Good fries and slaw, too.

I have only had lobster on cruise ships and could never understand why people raved about it! Obviously you cannot cook lobster well for 2000 people. My mind was changed by our visit to this place. Unpretentious, but welcoming. Lobster served with trimmings 15 mins after selecting it from a tank. Absolutely beautiful. I recommend this place highly. Our friends... More

Whenever I am in Boothbay Harbor, I make it a point to visit the lobster Wharf. It is a convenient walk from Browns Wharf. You choose your lobster from the out door lobster pits, it is placed in a bag along with the other lobsters in your order along with corn and placed in the outdoor cooker. They have a... More

Took wife and grandsons to Lobster Warf. One of our last meals in Boothbay. Ordered 2 lobster rolls and 2 fish sandwiches. Lobster rolls OK, wife was very disappointed in fish sandwich compared to other Haddock sandwiches she had in Maine. Best fish sandwich at Schooner Landing in Damariscotta. Sit down restaurant prices at a take-out cafe location.

This used to be our favorite place to get lobster in New England. Many times we made the 3 plus hour drive from Boston to get their lobsters. However it has changed hands since our visit before this one. It used to be the Lobster Coop, a somewhat gritty establishment with the best lobsters at a reasonable price. Now the... More

We went for happy hour on a Saturday night and all the employees were very attentive. It is on an actual working dock and one of the very few places I seen that offers crab! $1 shucks was very very impressive as well! A true hidden gem!
