We have been to Boothbay Harbor for 7 years and ate at the Boothbay Lobster Wharf every year. The quality and service has deteriorated for the last 3 years. This year the lobster was tough and the baked potato was under done. There is a lack of choices for side orders with the dinner. If you want a choice ,you have... More

We ate here on the recommendation of Sally Lehrman's Lobster Roll Book. We found it somewhat disappointing (3.8). The servings were large but so was the price ($18). Bun was toasted but not well. There was adequate mayo coating meat but no seasoning other than salt. Lobster tough and somewhat chewy but probably fresh. No lettuce on roll. Served with... More

In my wife and my never-ending search for the best lobster roll, we stopped with friends at the Boothbay Lobster Roll. We have been to scores of restaurants in Maine over the years, including the ones that have been generally recognized as having the best. The Boothbay Lobster Wharf's lobster roll certainly ranks high atop the list. In fact, my... More

Great food, great location, easy to walk to from hotel or by boat. Everything was delish and hot and the lobster was the best!

If you buy a Lobster packed to take home -- $5.00 a pound. If you ask the Wharf for the same lobster steamed -- $20+ a pound. And all the lobsters seem to be softshell! Same for steamed clams -- outrageous prcices. Who is making the money?!?!?! Two, 1.25 lbs lobster would have cost nearly $40 at the wharf while... More

Had yet another teriffic evening at Boothbay Lobster Wharf. Great food, great location, great service, great music. Don't miss out on a chance to relax right on the harbor, have a cocktail from the full bar, watch lobster boats and sailboats come and go, eat a meal of seafood that can't get any fresher. You couldn't ask for anything more!

As you'd expect from a "lobster in the rough". Nice that they have a bar on the wharf as well as a place where you can get burgers, fried clams etc. The lobster is a completely separate operation. One odd note - if you order steamers, you have to request the liquid that normally goes with them. Otherwise, it was... More

What a feast! We bought 4 lobsters, 1-pounders, for our big Boothbay seafood extravaganza. SInce we travel in a motorcoach, we prepared our own side dishes, and only wanted to buy the lobsters. So we bypassed their take-out counter and went straight to their retail fish counter. Live soft-shell lobsters were in season at $5/pound. Mr S was the counter-person,... More

We were in search of fresh lobster and found them at the Boothbay Lobster Wharf. We weren't overly hungry, so the friendly staff suggested a medium-sized, soft shell lobster for each of us, plus traditional corn on the cob. The outdoor harbor setting was perfect, as we sat on a table on the wharf on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We... More

If you want a real Maine lobster experience don't go anywhere else! Sit on the outdoor deck and watch the fishermen off load their daily catch! Pick out a couple lobsters for the steamer and prepare to enjoy a relaxing and friendly dining experience. This is by far our favorite place to eat and visit with friends! If you don't... More
