First, let's talk about the great people there. Sarah at the bar working her tail off, Jeff, the Host with The Most, and Rebecca a fine waitress. Then there is Sante, the manager or owner, intense and working hard. You don't want to say too much down about this great crew, but there is a little help needed here. I... More

We were very disappointed. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 older kids) arrived for our reserved table on a Friday evening at 5 pm. The Host offered us a table in the patio area (see photo) and we gladly accepted. As we headed to the patio the "owner-type" gentlemen stopped us in our tracks and brusky announces "no,no,no tables... More

By the third day of our stay in Boothbay Harbor we wanted a change from seafood. We decided to try Ports of Italy and were pleasantly surprised. The food, service and cleanliness exceeded our expectations. Would definitely return!!!

My wife had the Antipasto Vegetariano and Raviola Toscani (Homemade spinach pasta filled with fresh ricotta cheese, spinach and spices, with the butter sage sauce) both of which were excellent. I had the Insalata De La Casa (House salad) and the CHITARRUCCI NERI AI FRUTTI DI MARE (black ink spaghetti with shrimps scallops, mussels and little neck clams topped with... More

We really enjoyed our meal. Very busy restaurant and it is first come first served. Our meal were fabulous starting with a very tasty oil with caperswith fresh bread followed by beef carpaccio that melted in the mouth and to top it all scalopinnis top with procuito in a very savory sauce which I completely cleaned... I also enjoyed a... More

Watch out if you order take out from Ports of Italy. I ordered on half portion of pasta. Full portion was listed on the menu at $ 8.00. I was charged $10.00. the portion was minuscule.

We never had such a good italian meal. The service was fast even if the restaurant was full. The food was very tasty . If you don't go to this restaurant you would miss a very special occasion to bring back home as a nice souvenir.

Perhaps we were there on an off night, but really, not a lot to say. Waiter - friendly, helpful, pushing the specials. Beef carpaccio - nice, not oily, but a little on the pastrami-like side. Certainly not a great grade of beef, nowhere near a Wagyu or grass fed. Bread - acceptable. Odd to find small pieces of ciabatta at... More

What a great dining experience....and a fabulous break from eating lobster and clams. The homemade pasta dishes are incredible and service from the entire staff is very good. We enjoyed Insalata Di Cesare and Insalata Caprese to start and moved on to Lobster Ravioli (RAVIOLI D'ARAGOSTA) and Veal/Mushroom Ravioli as half portions. They were both FABULOUS. We then shared the... More

This was a wonderful surprise when we first discovered it last summer (August 2013). We were vacationing in the Booth Bar Harbor area and happened upon the restaurant (which we had not seen on earlier visits). The surprise was the genuine ITALIAN quality and class of the dishes, esp. the pastas (ravioli was exquisite) and the veal plates. Abetted by... More
