Makes diner food look like giourmet cooking ! Unimaginative tasteless fare in an old drab decor- save your money and go elsewhere !
Hubby and I visit the Ebb Tide for breakfast nearly every day we are in Boothbay. Service is great, breakfast is good and reasonable. This is NO Dennys or McD! Rather a home cooked meal in a locally owned and operated classic diner. The upside advantage is looking across the street at a cute photo opportunity (see picture) and following... More
I went to the Ebb Tide dinner for breakfast with my wife and 2 kids. I ordered a ham egg and cheese on an English muffin for around $8. One would thing that for $8 there would be home fries or something, but no, just the sandwich. We had ants on our table, the waitstaff was not friendly. We vacation... More
Went to Ebb Tide for dinner. Had broiled scallops . They were over cooked and chewy. The sweet potatoes fries are not home made. This meal was very high in Price. Could done better in a dinner. Service was great and friendly. Prices are too highs for the local crowd. Probably won't go there again.
Visited Ebb Tide on the advise of our hotel for we were looking for a full breakfast. Food was very average and very small portions. We were a party of women and we ate every bite if we had been men or kids we would have left hungry :( Will not return.
We had to ask a few times to get certain items we ordered. The Eggs Benedict was only one egg on one half of the English muffin, the second half of the English muffin was plain. Most places serve on both halves of the muffin. The wrapped pad of butter was covered with the hollandaise sauce so a bit messy.... More
This is a small local casual cafe with great food. Inside are old, wooden booths. Lots of character. The service is exceptional and the staff is extremely pleasant. Fast service, clean restaurant, affordable prices, and friendly, efficient wait staff. Highly recommend this place.
OK not great. Very surprised Fodor's gave rave review and yet did not bother to review some others in the area. Food was fine but not extraordinary. Staff, however, WAS extraordinary. Server was extremely pleasant and working her tail off doing-it-all: taking all orders, serving all food, cleaning tables and working the cash register. A very tiny place. It's old,... More
My mother and I stumbled onto this wonderful place by accident after parking the car right in front of it. While my mother was parking, I looked at the menu and decided we had to go in. Not only is the menu filled with all sorts of yummy food, including many main and seafood specialties, but the prices are very... More
