Fun place to look out over the rooftops of town and see the bay! We liked the tapas and the drinks were great!

My wife and I had no reservation, but received a pleasant greeting and were told we could sit anywhere. We were in the downstairs dining room, which did begin to fill up in a short time. We split the calamari tapas as an appetizer. Not over cooked but a bit disappointing as it was just rings with no tentacles. And... More

After visiting Boothbay Harbor last year, we returned and made a beeline for the Boathouse Bistro for dinner. As before, we returned the next day for lunch after a boat trip that morning. The lobster bisque is fantastic, flavorful and loaded with lobster. Choices across dinner and lunch this year included the Maine Maple Scallops with risotto cakes, the Madagascar... More

The tapas of shrimp and grits hit the spot. It's a good cardio workout getting to the top floor but the view is very nice of Boothbay Harbor. Also enjoyed the peach sangria.

The Boathouse Bistro is near the water and has a view from the top deck, which looked like a fun spot to have a drink or eat. It is totally open and without heaters so on the cool September evening we visited we chose to sit on the second floor. Even without a view it was a comfortable spot. Our... More

I'm travelling alone so decided to venture out to a nice restaurant for dinner. What drew me to this restaurant was two things: 1) The scallops and 2) the truffle butter lobster!!! My meal was delicious. The staff were pleasant and super nice. The food is a bit pricier but was well worth it. I didn't find the service slow... More

Stopped here one night for dinner. If you go, try to sit on the roof. We ordered tapas, which ranged from very good to average. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was fun. We enjoy going somewhere where we have the option of ordering small or large plates, and Boathouse fills that bill.

A popular restaurant, well situated near the water. Great menu and the food lived up to its promise.

Sat 9/6/14 we called ahead to see what time the kitchen closes, and were told 930 pm. I arrived at 845 with my entire family 5, including my infant. We were left standing around for 10 minutes before anyone EVEN GREETED US. Then we spoke with a rude nasty bartender who then told us the kitchen was closed! It was... More
