Excellent clam chowder, but steamers were big and tough with more sand than usual. Lobster was OK, but not as sweet as ones we had later in the week in Cape Porpoise.

Went to The Lobster Dock on Saturday night at 6:30pm and was pleased to see a short line. We split an order of twin lobsters, which is a real bargain at $19.95 and also got the crab cakes. The crab cakes were okay, but nothing special. The lobsters were good and came with an ear of corn, which was also... More

Seriously - the BEST lobster roll I have EVER eaten!!!!!!!!!!!! And the steamers are incomparable!!!! Went there for the first time in July and we're heading back this week. Absolutely a must to visit when you're in Boothbay Harbor. I can't wait til Thursday!

First time in Boothbay Harbor, we decided to eat at The Lobster Dock after reading the reviews. We had an entree of mussels (very good) and our main course was the fried scallops (very tender), we sat outside, the view was terrific! A bit pricey but what isn't in Boothbay Harbor at this time of year?

We had lunch at the lobster dock after reading about it on tripadvisor. I had the hot lobster roll, very good, better than the cold. We also tried their chowder and calamari. All the seafood was very tender and delicious. It was so nice to sit out side and watch the sail boats coming into the harbor. Just what I... More

This restaurant has a wonderful location and a nice menu selection if you aren't a vegetarian. It is definitely meant for the seafood lover but there are several meat options. The food is good and reasonable. You should definitely think of this place as a very casual almost fast food atmosphere except that you can get lobster and other good... More

Liked the look of the Lobster Dock while out for a walk and decided to drop in for dinner. Arrived about 6.30pm and was served almost immediately. Large blackboard menu and reasonable prices. Ordered clam chowder, hard shell lobster and some grilled scallops. Food took about 20 minutes to arrive and was delicious. Sat outdoors and was able to watch... More

We ordered 1-1/4 lb steamed lobsters, came with an ear of corn and a baking powder biscuit plus a small amount of drawn butter. Lobster and corn were delicious, the biscuit tasteless. The glass of Pinot Grigio came in a small plastic cup. But the bill for 2 came to $25 so definitely a great deal.

All the food we had was fantastic, but the highlight were definitely the "Throwdown" crab cakes which were featured on Bobby Flay's show. These were by far the best crab cakes I've ever had. The prime rid and NY strip were great, as well as the lobster and veggie sides.
