Description: The Thistle Inn is the perfect mix of fine cuisine and casual fare. We use only the freshest ingredients and everything is home made, including salad dressings, fresh baked breads and desserts. The best way to describe our food is an eclectic mix of American cuisine with a hint of international flavors. We let the availability of local produce and seafood influence the menu.

As we were sitting at the dory bar enjoying our cocktails prior to dinner, a couple next to us asked my opinion of a good restaurant in town. "Positively, the Thistle Inn." The fare is consistantly delicious both from the dinner and bar menus. I enjoy the coziness of the bar as well as the dining room. On warm evenings,... More

My partner has simple tastes and would have liked to see a simple burger on the menu instead of picking around all the bits not to her liking. I, on the other hand, found the fare to be delicious and perfectly prepared. The service, while pleasant enough, was painfully slow. 1 dinner & 2 breakfasts with the same painfully slow service.... While it was slighly cool, we opted to eat outside on their terrace and the waitress kindly provided a blanket for my knees. Inside is great for winter, but also cosy on a chilly summer night. The caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes and burrata was very good, although the accompanying lettuce could have used a bit more vinegar and oil.... More

One of the best places to eat with the food consistently very good and a great wine selection. On hot evenings the outside dining is well shaded and cool.

They have chilli to die for, and their wine selection is phenomenal. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and they have a very homy feeling.

We had a great dinner on the deck under the light for our anniversary! It was wonderful :) service and food were wonderful. My husband had crab cakes that were so yummy and my Cesar salad was one of the best I've had! We both has the haddock which was wonderful as well- perfectly cooked and I couldn't get enough... More

Foodies will love this place - fresh and tasty seafood and for my allergic hubby, great steak and chicken dishes!

We went to this restaurant the last night of our week stay in Booth Bay Harbor. It was to be a special night out. This was supposed to be the "best" restaurant in Booth Bay Harbor. What a disappointment. We made reservations and dressed appropriately. Our party of five was shown to a back room where a large party was... More

If you enjoy sitting outside under magnificent trees, eating really good food, and experiencing friendly service, this is the place. On a cool evening in Boothbay, there is no better spot for outdoor fine dining and no place better for fine dining (period) than perhaps the Spruce Point Inn. We had baked Haddock, fresh salads, and just the right dessert... More

Enjoyed our dinner and being hosted by Sasha and Richard. Generous martinis, charred Caesar salad fresh raw oysters, a supple california chardonnay, and seared halibut dinner feature- all were delicious. Be back very soon.
