Mine Oyster is a great place to visit in downtown Boothbay Harbor. It is a bit pricey for the area, but for the oysters and very good food, it was a good value. There are cheaper places to eat but I am not sure that there are other places that have the fun interior and variety that Mine Oyster offers.

Fun place with fun decorations - lobster traps and lots of firewood for the wonderful wood-fired grill. I love oysters and this place delivered. Great view and ambiance.

They have an excellent chef, the food is really good, but the prices are very high, the place is shabby (e.g. carpets with holes) and the service/front of house is just a total disaster. So, if you want to enjoy good food and are prepared to pay over the top prices and put up with awful service in a grungy... More

This is the kind of place I really like. Friendly, unpretentious atmosphere. Good food, great drinks, and a killer view of the harbor. Kind of a half local/half tourist vibe. We have only eaten here, but they have some really good bands like HdRnB and The Boneheads..

My wife and two grand kids had dinner there while visiting Boothbay. Doorman worked on Lobster boat and we struck up a conversation. Decided to eat there. He said oysters were good. Looked at menu saw a variety of oysters, but kind of expensive. One kid had fried oyster sandwich, other had lobster roll, my wife and I had the... More

We sat at one of the two bars upstairs and had a view of the harbor. Bar staff was friendly and helpful. The clam chowder was excellent! It had smoked quahogs, corn, and bacon...yum!

I had 4 guests from out of town visiting me for a week in the Boothbay area. On our last night together we had dinner at Mine Oyster. We sat upstairs in the room to the right. Small, dimly lit, jazz music playing in the background. We had a table that overlooked picturesque Boothbay Harbor. We all had steaks that... More

We stopped in on a recent trip to Boothbay Harbor. The name is catchy. Prices high due to summer tourist trap area though. We each had a guiness draft and tried 1/2 dozen of different local oysters a manager recommended in the raw bar area. It was quiet in between lunch and dinner. Got a nice table overlooking wharf pier... More
